What I felt that usage of electricity is more in house then only it will beneficial otherwise no need .... because if I'm talking about my house we consume maximum 150 units of electricity per month, I said maximum which is the summer season and in winter season around 75 units is max... But thanks for sharing experience sir ...

Please also look into how your local electricity board does the billing... The Kerala electricity board is basically a predatory system, reducing the rate of solar electricity year after year, pushing towards gross metering etc. I have half a mind to just go off grid, but then I have to cycle batteries every few years..

Just got installed solar panel of 2kW last week under the PM solar initiative. 75% of the cost is disbursed as subsidy by government

At the moment solar panel efficiency is 20% to 21%(Sun light -> electricity). If there is a breakthrough I hope 80% efficiency then cost will reduce drastically and small area is enuf

What is the life of a solar panel? How long would they last before they need to be replaced? Also what are the top 3 brands which are good for even after sales service?

It will be useful if eb bill for last 4 years is displayed to compare before solar vs after solar.

How difficult is it to get an on-grid solution - How do I phrase this... The process of having to work with electricity board or documentation etc? And how would one avail a subsidy for this? And for areas with frequent power cut is running a house with normal UPS better or should it be a on-grid + off grid solution, and what would be the cost of that? Also If I'm not wrong is this in Hyderabad? Is it dependent on the city's board or do most cities have the option of on grid power?

You should also mention that the solar panels lose efficiency by some percentage every year. So each year they produce less and less .. you should factor that in while making a purchase

You can go to nearest post office to know about pm surya ghar scheme and govt will give you subsidy depending on the output from 1kv to 10kv

Hey Ranjit, there are topcon solar panel also available which claims to be more efficient than the mono perc half cut. What are your thoughts about this? Also i want to add a point that subsidy is only available on DCR(means manufacturing in india only) panels only.

My question was After installation of solar. Should I need to pay EB bill to government. Or else I can get unlimited Electricity to home

7:22 It's wrong Pawan ji told his earlier bill was 5000/month Assuming 10000/m of petrol saving due to EV He is saving 15k/m On a safer side let's assume 10k/m then he will recover easily in 2-3y if subsidy is availed under PM Surya yojna

I have an on grid 5kv plant similar to this man. My max generation per day is 28.70Kwh this summer. Could have been 30 were it not for the trees on my farm blocking the early morning sun.

We invested 2.6 lakhs back in September 2023 but since the ongird system is tied to the grid itself. Already there are winters in Kashmir valley so the sunlight is very less and upon that our discom KPDCL issues frequent curtlement calenders which not only affects our roi but also increases our electricity bill. If 370 helped kashmir to grow but has it really? In 21st centry our UT is still having Electricity curtailments. Shame on Modi Govt.

We got 3kw ongrid for 55k with government subsidy. And we also have a hybrid grid connected 2.7kw system for 1.4l with subsidy.

Solar panels are going to rock in India... We have optimum climate for it.. No snow, compact rainy season, very less fog in most of the area etc etc... Very sunny too
