Thank you very much this has been a problem for me as i tried to help my father to learn new things but nainly to PROTECT hin from things and he NEVER DO A SINGLE THING!!! First of all it takes a puss-soft approach in order not to hurt his poor ego (low selfworth/esteem) Invested enormous amounts of energy while i was still very hard working out my own problems.. So NOTHING ever really helped, and I understood multiple times its absolutely futile trying to. So i gave up few times, but somehow i guess i keep having hooe sometimes, but really there is no hope. He wont go even ONE SMALL STEP beyond his state! In fact all that happened was backwards. (To my understanding this was also strongly MANIPULATED to just go the wrong direction) But anyway. Backwards because eventually the BEST he ever acheived is being open to it long enough and actually understand what i was saying. But eventually, i got SO SO frustrated (because I WAS UNDER PRESSURE because i was AWARE SOMETHING IMPORTANT and DIDNT WANT HIM TO FALL!) And so i got angry with hin also. And Becoming BUSY with other peoples business, lose lose lose. BUT, if i wouldnt ATTEMPT, he would PULL ME DOWN anyway!!! So i have to leave him he is absolutely worthless actually. As he believes, so he is. NOT A FATHER at all… Hugely disappointing. But i can accept
