Well, not sure Scott would have done it, but okay.
I'll accept the premise. But he could have picked someone from the, you know, the moderate internationalist chamber of commerce wing of the party and really kind of sought to expand his base. He didn't do that. He picked a guy that's more Trumpian than he is. JD Vance adds nothing to the base of the party.
Yes, he's younger. He can talk in complete sentences. He wrote a pretty good book a while ago. Kind of an interesting guy. Disappointing for me on all of the policy issues. There's been no effort to get Republicans like me who are in favour of a robust US role in the world to become part of the party.
