I watched Olivia Yoko Sean and Ringo first open this when it was lit I watch it every year on John’s birthday leading up to when it finishes it’s quite a peaceful thing to do is sometimes you might see the aurora borealis

Thanks for this video Andrew, that must be a truly amazing sight to see from over in Reykjavic at night when it's fully lit As you say it does bring home to us all the impact this kid from woolton and his three mates had on the entire world, and you paid a visit at the time when this world is in such turmoil with wars in Ukraine, Israel, Yemen, Ethiopia and Syria and more places than I can name here, and I'm sure if John was still with us he'd have quite a lot to say on what is going on right now around the world. The one thing he would be promoting would be PEACE. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and safe journey home.

Thank you so much!! 　 Imagine Peace towerを詳しくご紹介下さり感謝申し上げます。ジョンレノンの思いをヨーコさんが実現して下さり改めて、ヨーコさんのパワーは凄いものがあるなあ！とつくづく感心させられました。ストロベリーフイールドの設置などを加えても並みの人間では出来ないと思います。やはりジョンレノンはヨーコさんのパワーに魅せられていた感じがします。素晴らしい良きパートナーを選んだジョンに「あっぱれ」とを差し上げたいと思います。

Unfortunately I didn’t know about this site in memory of John Lennon. Being a Beatles/John fan all these years I should have. The light at night must be fantastic to see in person. This island has other historical importance as you pointed out- a piece of the Berlin Wall & Reagan Gorbachev meeting awesome. I would like to go to Iceland heard nice things about it people that live there are happy! Enjoy your trip Andrew- cheers.

Unfortunately, the Imagine Peace Tower wasn't lit up when we were in Reykjavik, and our boat tour only pointed it out from the water, we didn't go ashore (we were there to see the puffins on nearby Engey Island). But someday we'll go back to explore the southeast of Iceland, and maybe we'll be there at just the right time for it.

I'd always assumed it was only lit on John's birthday, so when planning this trip a few weeks ago I was surprised and very pleased to find out it's lit right through to December!
