On-Location Vs. Virtual Production! - Camera and LED Stage Test

This is a camera test using the Meta Camera META Three 360 camera and Quasar Science 's image-based lighting.
We shot the entire scene in the park at dusk with available light, captured a 360 video plate, then re-created the entire scene on a virtual production stage.
Using ‪@AssimilateSCRATCH‬ Live FX and ‪@QuasarScience‬ image-based lighting, we were able to reproduce the scene.
This edit features a mix of both location footage and virtual production.
Through this test, we wanted to discover if the technology could be used for various practical production situations such as pickups or filming an actor who isn’t available on a certain shoot day.
The basic results are yes, this is a viable solution for many different types of shots!

I feel like in the newer seasons of Disney+ "The Volume" scenes, that the actors and the "play" are trapped. I did not quite get the feeling of endlessness like i did in Andor for example.

I tend to agree with you in general, actually. There are definitely scenes that fall flat. Another thing that plays onto that is the vfx having to be finished before production and rendered in real time.
