Here is a link to my WordPress Site. I have posted the intro and verse sections. I will complete the chorus ect. tomorrow. Thank you for your patience! 💫⭐👍✌markgtr.com/2019/07/09/on-my-mind-jorja-smith-acoustic-version-tutorial/
Hi Mark, I just found this tutorial and it’s so good thank you! I just wondered, do you have the rest of the tabs for this song as well? In the document there is only the intro and the verse.
Legendary thankyou. Had to figure out the two odd chords a little by pausing a playing/listening by ear. Everything really went smooth. Learned it now in about 33 minutes. No offense but by your looks I would have never guessed you'd be doing this cover tutorial! Thanks so much
What a so magnificent tutorial Mark on a really wonderful song! It is always such a great pleasure to watch your so incredible posts where you keep sharing with us your so unique and unparalleled knowledge in music! And for all that we do thank you very much my dearest friend!
Exactly. I want to see if it's the right fit for me before investing my time! It may end up working out better from an analytics point of view, but I'm not confident of that.
The ddim7 chord is just a bar at the fourth fret (starting with the a string) with fifth fret a string and 6th fret d and b strings. Kinda like a normal a7 barre shape but with the middle finger down right below the barre.
Hi mark. Can you do the guitar tutorial for the acoustic version of julia michaels' jump music? (played by Dan Kanter). And congratulations for the amazing job 😉
I suggest the following more accurate chord shapes: Capo fret 1. Verse: First chord is X 0 8 6 9 8 second chord is X 8 9 8 9 X third chord is X 5 6 4 6 X fourth chord is X 6 4 6 6 X fifth chord is X 6 4 6 7 X slide up to X 8 6 8 9 X Chorus: First chord is 6 X 6 6 4 X second chord is 5 X 5 6 4 X Third chord is X 0 2 0 2 0 Fourth chord is 6 4 6 6 X then X 6 4 6 7 X slide up to X 8 6 8 9 X
Thought d diminished was d f-natural and a-flat. You don't have the f natural in there but there is a b-natural, or am i mistaken?? Also thanks so much for the cover - Liked!
I’ve been playing guitar for about three years and really want to learn this I’ve tried and tried but I think I’ve come to fact that this is out of my skill set : (
@@willmensah I'm going to post some help on my Wordpress page. I'll go ahead and put it on once it's finished. I'll go over the chord movements. What kind of guitar are you using?
@@willmensah I'm also going to do a tab/score of it. It's getting late so I'll at least get the chord graphs posted tonight and then the tab tomorrow. That will help a lot.
Mmh nice tutorial dude but I'd like to correct one thing or two.. the second chord from the acoustic audio version is not an Fm7 but it sounds more like a F half diminished (Fm7/b5).. I can ear the natural B (or Cb for diatonic purpose) sliding to the Ab of the Ddim7 chord. Then the Eb sus2 you are playing is "wrong", I mean, I can clearly listen the minor third in the chords played with the index of the right hand and also the 9th so after the Ddim7 don't move the pinky finger which becomes the ninth of the "correct" Ebmin9.. accordingly move index finger on the Gb note at 4th fret 4th string and obviously the minor 7th on 6th fret 3rd string... and maintain this position moving ONLY your pinky to the 7th fret (the minor third) and finally move this whole position a whole step forward (Fm7 but without the 5th). Hope it helps. Cheers
Sorry may I add, while listening, that in the "pre-chorus" section the second chord is not an Adim7 but an Amin7/b5.. I can ear the minor 7th and not the diminished 7 (or major 6) so you guys have to swap the index finger on the b5 and the third finger on the minor 7th together with the pinky on minor 3rd.. for the rest of the pre-chorus the chords follow the same of the intro written above. NB: at 3:40 the chord you are playing is not a Ebm9... in that position there's no minor 3rd in the chord, the name is Ebsus2/9.. or people could be misleaded, while it's a suspended chord, nor minor or major (obviously you would assume is minor from the progression, but it's not).
And.... why moving the Bb7 on A position at first fret? That's so far.. You got it near in E position on 6th fret, so you can easily reach the Ebmin9 (without the 5th) just below that. Sorry for all these clarifications, you did a good job anyway but I do think one would appreciate playing a song the most similiar to the original.
Great news guys Jesus loves you and died for you on the cross giving you eternal life if you repent and trust Jesus and you escape Gods wrath- payment of your sins
