The expression on Mike's face when he has his toy reminds m of a little kid who just got given a new toy. Absolutely priceless and he looks so proud as if to say "Look what I did, Dad"

Just started my boy on scent detection, the four basic AKC scents..anise, birch, clove, Cypress. He started laying down/sitting on the scents after only 4-6 sessions. My guy is a GS, show line, but you can train any dog, any age..it’s fun for them too..
I used to date a fire inspector that had a dog for fire accelerants and he trained her 6 out of 7 days a week. It was amazing to watch. And his brother was a K-9 officer for drugs and he dog was incredible...
I really enjoy watching the K9 dogs work. In one training scene when Mike has his toy walking between you and the other officer he kept looking between the two of you. It looked to me like he was watching if one of you might try to take it. 😁
Dogs are truly awesome! I wish many could understand that most dogs NEED something to do, they dont want to lay around ALL day. I hear so many saying what a lazy dog or dogs they have ..... and Im thinking its only because you have MADE them lazy. Even then most dogs would rather go out and do something than to do NOTHING.
Allot of them are probably "labeled&sold" as Malinois.. BUT, most of them are a mixture of regular GSD and Malinois. The tan dog with a black mask, pure Mal or MOSTLY Mal.. the other colored ones are clearly a mix. It's best and WAY more common for police to have mixed breeds instead of pure Mal because Malinois are friggin insane lol GSD mixed in, calms them down and makes them more stable and easy to work with.. Really not much difference other than color and the Mals insane work drive..
I love these dogs! SOOOO easy to train & once they're trained, they just live to work ! Looks like some are a mixture of German shepherd & Malinois. Which is perfect for police. Mal are much more intense & anxious. Adding in some GSD helps to tone that down & chill the dog out enough so they're easier to work with and aren't on 100 all day lol
Dope Dash! 👀 There are too many videos with suspects claiming they’re doing “Door Dash”, who are then found to be in possession (“UPOCS”) immediately after a K9 air sniff.
this area must not be hard on the cars that don't move over. That's wild how fast they're passing the officers...and moving over/slowing down is the law. I know folks got $300 ticket for not moving over....in the southern area of the state.
This might be a dumb question, but how do the dogs know who are the cops and who are the bad guys because I’ve seen chases where there’s other cops running in front of the dog and the dog doesn’t get them he knows to get the Bad Guy how do they know the difference or do they know the difference?
