Donna, I watch every day for your tutorial. My husband is elderly and can't be out of the house much. I have just completed 8 weeks of radiation for cancer. Your program is very special for me and I want to thank you for producing it.
You definitely have a gift of teaching and so much talent! Thank you for sharing it with us!! It helps give so many others inspiration!! I would have never have had the guts to try to make quilts myself without watching your tutorials! I appreciate you, Matt & your crew for making the videos possible! ❤
Beginners often ask for an "easy" first quilt and I think this one is IT!!! With the precut kits in a colorway that is already coordinated, they almost can't go wrong. I'm amazed at Matt's wonderful eye for color.
I made a log cabin quilt many years ago and it is still in mint condition. I tried to make it similar to your steps but mine took much longer because i didnt turn my first two small blocks in the right direction when I started chain stitching the blocks. Thank you for that tip on turning the first two blocks the right direction today. I made all of my blocks into a log cabin block. I didnt have the focus fabric to separate the logs. I think I will make your quilt on the diagonal and watch the tutorial as I go. Thank you for your exceptional teaching. It is very helpful. You probably wont believe this. I have been quilting for over 50 years and I still love learning a new way to accomplish my goal. Buying one of Matt's cut package is the way to go. Thank you. Jodie
Donna Jordan is a great Teacher! I enjoy her video tutorials so much! I've watched many of them more than once. She has a calm, deliberate and upbeat approach. I appreciate the excellent videos. Whoever is filming and editing is doing a fantastic job too. Thank you, I'm a fan!!
You and Matt are very gifted at what you do with fabric, and you are a natural born teacher- high praise indeed! Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us
Donna, you have helped me in so many ways but the one that I appreciate the most is your tip about taking the time to finger press your seams as you go. It has made my piecing so much more accurate. I love your videos and I wish I could visit your shop someday!
Thank you, I'm a new quilter & you've been a great help giving me the confidence to do this. I started in November of last year after I lost my husband of 53yrs.
Another beauty. I marvel at Matt's superb cutting, he does a wonderful job. Your explanations of techniques is so down to earth and easy to understand. Thanks.Linda
Linda Hodges I agree. Since Donna exained so clearly about finesseing the strip edges to be sure they are even, my blocks come out perfectly every time! I even went back and ripped out a whole package of log cabin blocks that were wonky just to do it right & after resewing them, they are perect! Donna does a great job
boy do you ever get to have fun by having all that fabric to choose from and your knowledge of color choices is amazing, I would have thought this was too busy , however when put together is beautiful
What a beautiful quilt! I love how you have added plain blocks to set the log cabins on point. You are such a good teacher😊. I’m going to have to order one of Matt’s pre cut log cabin blocks.
I have watched so many tutorials on quilting over the years. Yours are the best I’ve ever seen. You show shortcuts. Your methods are not so cumbersome that they make you want to quit quilting, as some tutorials are. I really enjoy you & your husband. I look forward to your videos!
Hi Donna and Matt. I watched all Videos from Jordan Fabrics. I love love love your Videos. I learned a lot of tips, tricks and techniques from you. Thank you very much! Your lessons are high end!! Greetings from Germany, Dagmar

I have watched so many of your tutorials and I am looking forward to start making my first quilt using one of your patterns albeit a small one for my great grandson which arrives very soon. Thank you Donna .😊
Absolutely beautiful! Great video! Love your attention to detail and explaining the impact of the alternating blocks and the effect of different colors. Thank you!
Now Im inspired to go home and put those log cabin squares together on point! I wasnt sure what I wanted to do with these amazing squares; now I know exactly!
You are so creative! I appreciate that you look at things differently! I also enjoy seeing how well you and your husband work together. In today's world, it's wonderful to see! Thank you for all you videos! I'm learning so much!
your tutorials are so helpful and I get so much inspiration from watching your videos. it never ceases to amaze me how different 2 quilts can be by just changing up the fabrics used, thank you Donna & Matt sending love from the Middle of England UK xx
Hi Donna thanks for posting this video on the email today. It was simply great watching what can be done with blocks on point. Wonderful !!! I so enjoyed this video as i have some practice blocks and i can now do something useful with them and it will look brilliant. 🌻🙋
Thanl you for explaining in detail the importance of having the long side of the triangle being cut of the lengthwise of the fabric. Now I understand why my on-point projects in the past were always wonky.. Truly appreciate all the little hints & tricks you drop in here & there. So helpful. Like how to keep the strips lined up do the blocks actualy come out square every time. I just sewed up 64 log cabin blicks in 2 days and evedy single one is perfectly square & the correct size. Gotra get back to my sewibg now!
Your tutorials are wonderful. I admire how you work together, and inspire creativity. I have learned enormously from your tutorials, and am always looking for another one. It would be heaven if I could visit your shop. Congratulations on you new showroom and studio. I am a novice quilter, you have taught me lessons, big and small, and encourage me to continue. Thank you
Joyce Andrews: feel the same way about the Jordans. I have had some REALLY GOOD ideas and great abilities, but lack the SUPPORT of an encouraging mate. I feel I have left alot of my passions on the table. They are beautiful together.
Love this tutorial. I had almost finished making the double pack of jumbo log cabin blocks from you but didn't care too much for the size they came out at. I was trying to place them again today - and then saw this. Problem solved and I shall now finish making the last few blocks and buy co-ordinating fabric. Thank you.
You and Matt are really great and I understand why Darlene Michaud recommends your videos. I haven't yet made a quilt but with your help and Darlene's help I will soon.
Love love love this quilt! I wasn't sure about the background fabric but it looks great when it was sewn together. So wish we had a shop like yours in the UK, those pre cut log cabin blocks are a brilliant idea. Shipping from the US so expensive especially if we also get stung for fees on this side of the pond as well 😣. Thank you for all your amazing tutorials that are really inspirational and full of helpful tips xx
hi Donna may I say I thought that I could quilt until I watched your tutorials. I have learned so much from watching you I just wish that you were just round the corner thank you a thousand times for sharing your knowledge with other quilters like myself as we say where I come from. Power to your elbow it is a complimentary thing to say here looking forward to watching many more of your tutorials. Bless you both
At first I didn't think the background fabric would look good with the blocks but it does look good! As usual another great tutorial and you Donna are a terrific teacher
I have learn so much about quilting and fabric s from your tutorial yes you're a very good at what you're doing..Thanks for your generosity and sharing with us
I wasn't too sure I wanted to make this pattern, that is, until I saw it in the blue -- wow!! That is stunning! What a difference the choice of colours makes, I just wish I had the Jordans' eye for colours and patterns. Now this is on my short list -- thank you for showing this to us!
Love this quilt. Love your videos. I've more watching you than any other tutorials I've seen. Your tips for accurate piecing, ironing, fabric selection have been very helpful.
Thank you Donna. I have never seen the Log Cabin demonstrated before. You make it look so easy. Looking forward to purchasing some kits from you but first I must complete a couple of projects already on the go!!
I love your videos. Thank you so much for everything I’ve learned from you. I am inspired to order a kit and make some log cabin blocks into a beautiful, quilt.
Hi Danna ,buenas noches ,me encantoooooo,,adoro ver tan ordenadito ,tanta belleza junta ,espectaculares creaciones las suyas ,gracias x compartirnos tanta maravilla y talento ,Dios la Bendiga 😍😍😍
I learn something from you in every tutorial. Thank you very very much. It's just as well I am in NZ and un-able to visit your store or I would be needing a HUGE credit card limit for all the fabric I would HAVE to buy.
I sure with I had a Matt that helps me cut my material, LOL. You two are just precious. I have ordered a couple of things from you to make a table runner and from the same fabric a table topper. I am excited and can't wait. Sure wish I could go shopping at your store and look at all the fabric and the precuts.
Great idea for stacking the fabrics up in the order they will be used. I’ll need to remember that the next time I make some log cabins. Yep I had to do a lot of “unsewing” at one point. Lol Thanks for the tip.
I really thought the leaf print fabric between the log cabin blocks would be way too busy, but your choice of fabric worked really well (much to my surprise)! It pays to have an open mind. Thanks for the inspiration to think outside the (log cabin) block!
Thank you, Matt and Donna, for this lovely tutorial!! I agree so much with what Mona Rawles said 2 years ago--Matt is such a gifted cutter of fabric and chooser of colours and you are an awesome quilter and teacher. I'm a fairly experienced sewer, but I learn something new from every video! I love the on-point log cabin, and love the idea of the kits but I have a collection of purples with a specific pink & purple floral that I've bought for my step-daughter because she really loved that floral print. I told her that if she'd give me a grandchild I'd make her a quilt. Well, she did give us a grandson with great difficulty (we was born 16 weeks premature at 1.5 lbs.) He just turned 2 years old and is thriving but I still haven't made her quilt!! Is there a pattern available for this design other than those in the kits? My creative juices are flowing and I can't wait to start cutting strips.
This is a wonderful video!! I can’t wait to make a log cabin block now! I’ve been so hesitant because I don’t want to make a mistake but you maybe this so easy to understand. Your fabric is also so beautiful
Ugh I am currently putting together log cabin blocks I purchased from Jordan fabrics. Now I have to decide whether to open the second pack or make the quilt like this!
