ABC News' Michael Strahan talks to Ellen Pompeo, who stars as Dr. Meredith Grey and said she almost turned down the role because she's a hypochondriac.
Celine Desiree Why?! It’s a show. They are actors 🤷🏾♀️. They know this too. As a medical professional to us, it’s an insult that people let fiction, become reality. I’m an avid Grey’s fan.
@@sebastiantortos6101 yes after the equal pay movement, Pompeo is highest-paid actress on a primetime drama, her new pact will have her earning more than $20 million a year - $575,000 per episode, and bonus ect.
*man bends finger weirdly* *Ellen screams and runs* “YOU’RE A DOCTOR YOU SHOULDNT BE FREAKING OUT!” Edit: THIS WAS 2 YEARS AGO AND I DIDNT EVEN KNOW PEOPLE LIKED IT😭 THANK YOU YALLL . also poor owen- Also if you’re in LA,TX Be safe! i love you guys
I am a medical personnel and currently doing a research degree. I loved greys anatomy a lot for the medical excitement and for the drama factor :) .. it’s gorgeous to see the lives hidden in the white coats. People often don’t see a person inside you. They expect you to be made up of steel. It’s sure difficult but also nothing can replace the joy of touching a person’s life. It’s a beautiful job :)
Nerdy Snailie there with you, have worked in Healthcare 20 years. I haven’t stop watching. It’s one of my favs. You know see discrepancies, huh?! They are actually pretty good on authenticity. Good luck on your research. I am as well, Public Health. It makes me laugh how many people expect them to really be Docs 🙄 We are human, it hurts to lose a patient, you can’t remove emotion, nor should you.
Kimmie T Thank you! I am doing clinical Immunology research. I also agree, they are spot on for me when it comes to conflicts and emotions. I am a feeling person and I feel for my patients strongly. I was blessed to work for 8 years as a clinical laboratory specialist in a cardiac surgical centre and it was my patients who taught me a lot during this process. If anything, my research degree is inspired from the fact I meet a lot of cardiac patients with lots of immunological diseases that appeared before or along the disease. My patients as you know are chronic patients so I meet them on a regular basis and I was able to observe them and their conditions closely.
They can't leave us on such a huge cliff hanger, i need to know what happens with Jo Wilson and her husband, and what happens with the ciber hihacking...
I know i screamed when she walked out and he was there. And the patient could die if she doesn't get there in time. I hope she punches him and knocks him out
Hypochondriac : a person who is abnormally anxious about their health. Betadine : The brand name for POVIDONE IODINE, a mild antiseptic, which is used as a surgical scrub or as a lotion, ointment, mouthwash or gargle.
Maddy, you would be surprised at how many Don't. even those with an IQ over 40 some times don't know this stuff. if you aren't learning things that have to do with "health" or medicine, then you probably wouldn't have known it.
This show is my favorite of all time!!! I have watched it in full from start to recent 3 times. The thing I would change would be to keep some of the original cast members ( Cali, Mark, Derek, Lexi, George and of course Christina!!! The show really wasn’t the same without them😕
Allisen Garrett ppl choose to leave, move on. Eric Dean has his own show. Sara wanted to leave & so did Sandra & Patrick. They are actors. Life goes on, change is part of life.
then we have supernatural and most actors who probably would have loved to still be on the shoe never got asked back, a lot of them i would have loved but because female fans didn't like some of the characters they were never asked back or they were killed off for good. Grey's i know some of the actors didn't get as much screen time as they probably wanted and moved on to other shows. i wish the one who played Christina would have stayed, i loved her character so much, and Mark and Calli. but what ever happened with them happened so..
4:28 That's season 2 episode 6 Chandra, dear. "Into you like a train" That's Bonnie Crasnoff and Tom Maynard ♡. Personally, one of my favorite episodes. I love you guys so much. ♡
Everytime Meredith laugh i feel like im about to cry. She's not laugh so much and when she does that means that probably something really good happened.
I’m watching the full fourteen seasons for the fifth time ( season 15 third) that’s sad 😂 currently on season 5 Edit:this is in a row btw, not watch it a time then break.. nope.. none stop since February. I think I have a problem
I really enjoyed this, GA is a great show! I really miss the old cast, but that’s what makes it so great it already has some nostalgia and hopefully continues forward.
meredith grey: *survives a plane crash* *survives after drowning* *survives birthing a child during a huge storm* *survives a mass shooting* *survives after getting beaten up by a patient* *survives ANOTHER possible plane crash* death: *am i a joke to you?*
I’ve been in that super secret medical prop room! It’s so cool. It’s amazing how much the camera makes it look so real. When you hold a prop, it doesn’t at all.
moments ago the best and kindest man in the world was attacked and now he is unconscious i am one of his friends and i sent a message to the people of the world and took him to a safe place to be under the care of a doctor during this time i check everything instead of this dear man but it is very difficult just pray that he comes back
SPOILER ALERT!!, I honestly love Karev so much. Still salty he left tho but I just wish we’d see him with the kids and izzie even if just for a spilt second
The pencil on the eye guy.... omg.... so sad he was a high school student and it happens because of bullies, when they removed the pencil his brain hermeraged and went brain dead, he was the girls only friend 😢
