No, in Orthodoxy, Bishops, Priests, Deacons, Monks, tonsured Readers and speakers all where black(Bishops, Priests and Deacons outside of Liturgy) as a symbol of death to self in their work that only Christ may be exalted.... juxtapose that by looking up preachers with sneakers in the protestant traditions...

It's common in the GOA for people who sing in the choir to wear a riassa, and many parish choirs also wear a cross when they are in Church. This also exists in some parts of the Arab world.
@@user-mw5wp4uy1o Many Greek choirs actually do wear crosses. In her case, it could very well be that she has a special distinction from her Archdiocese to teach, and this is an award. Such things exist all throughout the Orthodox world.

Heaven is not a place?? Did she mean not JUST a place? I’m confused… If heaven is just “eternal union with God”, then how is Jesus coming on the clouds of heaven? Is He coming on the clouds of eternal union with God? Where was the Apostle Paul caught up to? Or the Apostle John? What did Isaiah and Ezekiel see? Where did Enoch and Elijah go? Where is God’s throne? Does He even have a literal throne? You need to be more careful before teaching in the church “Is heaven a place? NO.” People are liable to misunderstand you. Clouds of heaven where is that written. Actually when the koine greek text says ουρανός the correct translation is sky. Simple in english is a confusion in translation because in greek sky and heaven are one same word
