Went out to a local kayak launch in Matagorda, TX. I was hoping to fish for redfish. The weather and winds was very cooperative and the fishing conditions overall was pretty good. The fish weren't active, especially the redfish. It has to do with the lower water temperatures that winter fishing brings to Galveston, Freeport, Sargent, Matagorda and all along the Texas Gulf Coast.
