Dan's "Rata-tat-tat-tat-tat" is probably my favorite thing about this playthrough.

Even so many years after I first played it, the mental image of Edgeworth just casually taking that entire huge bear and walking out of the hotel with it makes me laugh 😂

Franzika was allowed her whip in the hospital, and she's not in any kind of hospital clothing, and she her everyday clothes look pristine, no wound, or bullet hole, or anything. Truly the embodiment of perfection.

Pearl leaves her village for the first time. The two things she learns about the outside world is the circus and numerous convoluted murder investigations. I'm sure she's gonna grow up to be AAAAAaaaaalllll right.

I hope they do trials and tribulations after they finish justice for all. Ace attorney weekends make the week a little more bearable

16:37 I do find Gumshoe endearing and hilarious in many aspects, but it always cracks me up how his capability spikes when he’s either breaking the law or helping Phoenix Wright in a way that’s outside of his job description. Even funnier if he’s temporarily out of a job.

on the "where are we", the original game is set in japan, with the foreign characters like the von karmas and klavier gavin being american. in the english version of the game, it's set in america, with the foreign characters being german. this was easy to do with the first game, where there was minimal japanese culture in the game. in later games, however, they just have to stick with it being america (california specifically). i believe the in-universe explanation is that this is a universe where japanese immigrants were more accepted into america, leading to japanese culture being prevalent in american society. the fans call it "japanifornia".

I adore the mental image of Edgeworth being like "I'll be taking this" and then just...heaving that MASSIVE bear out of the room, getting progressively more out of breath. "Snatched up by Edgeworth" the WORDING, too.

Idk what's More absurd. Gumshoe making a bug sweeper in elementary school... Or Miles Edgeworth casually walking down flights of stairs of this hotel after 9:00 p.m. with a 7-ft bear to go investigate where it came from.

"That's what it is, Pearl, evil ghosts!" Dan, she's an 8 year old spirit medium who lives in a village full of spirit mediums and ghosts of varying morality play huge fucking parts in the games. Pearl says a lot of ridiculous things but _this is not one of them_

@5:20 ish, I feel like I need to get a clip of the conversation where they point out specific bears because one of the goals for some of my clients is to increase use of creative language so they can make themselves better understood. This is a great example of this in the context I tend to end up teaching it in.
