A small casting tip: Dont dip the rod ib the backswing. Lift the rod and bring the tip parallell to the water. Then lift th tip to the forward start posistion at the end og the stroke. Then the fly and leader will go down and touch the water and give an anker. Wait half a second or so til you see and feel the D-loop sets behind you before you start the forward cast. Then your flyline will fly out in a straight line. If you dip the rod in the backcast, the fly and leader will be liftet from the water and anker badly. It's easy to see when the other caster try the rod on the end of the film. Good luck! :)
Hmm, from that side of the river the fly guy should focus on using his LEFT hand more since it's the bottom hand that decides how fast the linespeed is going to be and obv how far you can cast with a flyrod.....
