This is from a 1991 documentary of Metallica. That film crew followed them for a year. I rented it on vhs from my local block buster so many times that they finally just let me buy it because by 2000 nobody was watching it but me. I loved every second of it.

Yeah, I owned this on VHS at one point. Not sure what happened to it. :( This is all from the 2nd tape, but that 1st one was footage of them recording the Black Album. That one was way more interesting to me and provided a lot of insight on how the recording process works.

That scene when they exit the bus at the airport really explains the personalities of the Metallica members. James is just always aggressive and loud. Lars thinks he’s the shit and acts cool. Jason walks out like a normal person, not anything special. And Kirk just looks lost.

I have loved Metallica since 1983 and love their music and their good attitudes about everything! They are the best heavy metal band ever in my opinion. Dave Mustaine missed out. Love Megadeth, but they will always be second best to METALLICA. Love you Metallica. Up loader, Thank you for this vid, it just shows how laid back they are even just touring.

You'd think so, but I don't think James had taken on that image when they were composing Frayed Ends. Because alot of the justice demo's were done in 1987 and apart from the long side burns, James had no facial hair. He still had the puppets era look and image.

Am I the only one who ever noticed that when the plane was going through some turbulence one of the guys started singing sweet home Alabama, which if you don’t know is a reference to lyneyrd skynyerd ( how ever you spell it) and there plane crush which killed some of there members
