Sums up Alzheimer's perfectly. Goes from not knowing how to undo his top button or how to put a seatbelt on, to belting out a 40(this is a guess😊) year old song word perfect. Hope he keeps doing so for a long time yet!
Just ordered your CD. Love, love the songs your dad sings. I hope he knows how many people appreciate his voice. When I was 5 years old I had asthma and was often restricted to the couch. During that time I learned every song from My Fair Lady I played the album over and over again, driving my parents nuts I'm sure. This song was one of my favorites
Yeah godbless his son,what an adorable young loving son obviously hurting but wanting to see dad smile,and smile with him.I remember years back watching this with my mum,and we loved it.I just stumbled across it there now thankgod.Yeah that last 30-50 seconds,his son looked in a reflective mood,thinking about how dad used to be,maybe about his childhood experiences,and he was choked up but happy.I suspect it’s highly unlikely his father ain’t here now,but “BOY” you done your bit and some.👏👏👏👏👏

First of all....I adore you guys! But most of all, to see the love and pride the son has for his Dad. You can see it in his eyes. That warms my heart. Second,- ever since I saw you first time (a couple of years ago), I was so upset that I wasn’t 30 years younger, so I could have dated the son ...or 20 years older,- so I could have dated the dad....:) . You are both so handsome and.sweet. And the singing of course too! I enjoy very much listening when both of you are singing. May you have many years still singing together and enjoy each other. I think they are both adorable! I pray for the son, since he is so good to his Dad. I sang often at the Nursing home where Dad was. He had that disease too. He played the piano and banjo and loved to sing!
Lovely to see some more interaction with you and your amazing Dad as he enters the car. It's all too easy for us to forget the difficulties you both face. Fantastic that you're donating to research. I hope the album sells well, I have it on my Christmas wish list.
I absolutely love this. It makes me so happy to see this. Enjoy every minute with him. I miss my dad soooooo much. My dad had a neurological disease called PSP. It’s the exact opposite of Alzheimer’s. He could remember everything but he couldn’t speak, walk or do anything. F all these diseases!! Thank you for making me smile. Love from New York
😢 My mom does the same thing with the seat belts, sometimes she remembers right away & puts it on, other times she’s looking for it, not knowing where it is. I tell her well, it’s got to hang somewhere right, so it wouldn’t be on the left where you’re looking & she’ll finally see it. I put music 🎶 on all the time when we’re in the car or when I pick her up to visit with me & she sings, in a lower tone,but I can tell it makes her happy 😊 I always just try to stay present & do things with her that she’s never done before like play pool & air hockey etc I think it’s a fun way to help the memory & hand eye coordination, she grew up in a poor household, etc., then raised us four girls, pretty much on her own. So she enjoys getting out doing different things with me. I ♥️ that you guys do this together. Such a great song 🎶 Thank you so much for being vulnerable & sharing, it really made my heart smile 😊
