I have been waiting a while for this. I really wish the maps "looked' more like the area they are representing instead of the watercolor look. I love the original game, but I am not sure about this. Having the map use the same icongraphy and graphics of the New York subway and Paris Underground would have made this an easy decision.
Ugh, Kickstarter. Nuff said. But I did own the original On the Underground (2006), actually I still do. Not a brilliant game mechanically but I liked it because the London Underground was in my life for many years (days when the Circle Line circled and the Victoria Line didn't exist). I feel no similar love for the Paris Metro or the NY Subway (apologies to Walter Matthau) so no reason to look at this.
And the Paris espansion is FREE for Print and Play with the blessing of the author. The 1932 variant has a much better map than this of the new edition....
'1 or 2 actions' love it. Thanks for the review, not a game for us as we have Ticket to Ride Europe. Hopefully the publishers can improve the rule book during Kickstarter/manufacturing.
No offense but.... well.... ticket to ride is a game for childs of about 7/8 years of age. More in the league of ... "let's see who has the biggest nose". "On the underground" is a boardgame.
