I think the situation he found himself in will bite us in the bum one day. I accept that you have to be ruthless as a manager but at some point a potential new signing will think Arteta says xyz but I dont believe him and wont sign . Same for our academy players .
@@richardb22 welcome to life at a big club mate! Ruthlessness and NO passengers!...there is a possible future where Timber puts Ben on the bench and Califiori starts at LB ffs😅
After the last game at that stadium, and today, Raya has completely sold me. What a keeper. So calm and catching everything. I have never seen a keeper keep full control like he has in this short time. And I love ramsdale
It all started with the passion shown by our mascot in the tunnel pre match , shoving the Spurs mascots who dared to touch our players ! One day he will be playing in this match 👊🏼
@@irielion3748 We did have some trouble on that left side. It was our weakpoint in defense because Zinny had a terrible season and Tomi was injured for months. Timber completes us.
I'll settle for the 36 👍s, it would seem there are a LOT in agreement! Defense obviously WAS a problem, the league winners scored more, didn't concede, that is not hypothetical, that is FACT! I rest my case. COYGS. ❤️
i have to give martinelli his plaudits after this game. While he did miss a huge chance where he should have done better. His work rate and defensive runs were second to none. And i also think that he was one reason that we won today since his pace and skill and combination with timber really put spurs on the back foot, keeping them from really threatening us. The goals will come he just needs to relax and not try so hard.
Missing our entire first choice midfield and two defensive options and still pulling off a (somewhat) comfortable win at Spurs is the stuff of champions. Four points or more for the rest of the week would he massive. COYG!!!
timber stood up and really showed his class , Gabriel with the winning goal was a real power house. Our defence were eating up everything thrown at em. Raya caught everything and we never looked in danger... wel worth staying up for
We had the better chances. We looked structured. The manager got it right. Raya was largely untroubled. If our passing and decision making had been better we could have given them a thumping. Can you imagine Merino , Rice and Odegaard playing today, cricket score time😅
I just know Arteta absolutely adores Timber. Perfect Arteta player. Calm yet aggressive. Winning mentality..nothing phases him. So solid in the duels. Technical quality. Calafiori has some work to do to get that LB spot!
He'll replace Gabriel. Won't get caught with the ball under his feet and give goals away, like Bayern last year. Gabriel is immense though. What a defence we have. Come on you Gunners!
Arteta: Come on boys I have signed a new deal and if you don't give me everything you've got today I'll bring back the pickpockets. They know what you have on your phones. Especially you Ben. Now lets foggin go out there and get them! Especially you Ben.
Thought Jorgi and TP were pretty good given the way Sp*rs play and our fears going into the game. Agree about White having a poor game. Their best chance came from his mistake and they had a few decent chances come down his side
Yeh I don’t know where this idea of Havertz as 10 has come from. Seemed fairly interchangeable to me and if anything Trossard was generally the deeper of the two!
I want a win against City. Regardless of the outcome of their 115 charges, I want Arsenal winning the league, without needing to rely on points deductions, etc.
Great to hear you after any Arsenal game, even better after this one. How do you feel about the recurring slopiness in midfield passes? Do you think it is a start of the season thing? Cheers from Brazil
You say Martinelli final actions eluded him ‘at this point in time’. Disagree. He’s consistently failing in the part of his game for at least 6 months. I accept he’s huge fan favourite but I believe all the kudos is based upon historical potential not product.
Why would Jorginho and Partey both be playing at the Etihad? Rice is back for that game. Think Partey played alright. With a better partner like Rice he doesn’t need to run around as much
I will say he gave the ball away in the midfield a bit too much for my liking. Forced his back line into some tricky spots at times, but they were too good to be bothered.
He gave the ball away cheaply 5 or 6 times throughout the game, some of them at the end where we desperately needed some composure. He invites so much pressure by just being too casual in possession.
