I love this watch - the homage to Rolex is done well without being a straight copy. It wears way nicer than you'd expect from what is essentially a giant hunk of metal lol.
I have this one in the dark cerulean and I was wearing the Luminox Master Carbon Seal. like going from a feather to lead!! What a great watch though so awesome, I love it!!
Great review, Blue & Black sold out within 2 weeks of launch. Surprised only the Green is still available. Glad i got my Blue version its really a crazy dive watch.
I just had mine delivered, after lusting after it for two years. I knew about the following deficiencies before I bought it, but it bears highlighting. First of all, the water resistance of this watch is totally disappointing. The first iteration possessed a thousand metres of water resistance and that was also inadequate. My Sea-Dweller possesses 3,900 metres and doesn't have these case and crystal dimensions. It is totally unacceptable that a watch named after Jacques Piccard, commemorating his dive down to the bottom of the Mariana Trench - nearly 11,000 metres - barely possesses 1/19th of the depth rating. That is a total joke, despite what appears to be a well-engineered watch. Additionally, the dial needs to be more vibrant to counter the distortion of the crystal and to appear more legible. If a person really meant to dive deep with this watch, I'm not certain if they could even read the time - lord knows the bezel is totally useless with its unpainted indices. The badge ought all be applied and not just some raised relief from a 3D print job - it looks cheap. Why hasn't Spinnaker been taking this aspect seriously? AliExpress brands are and for less than HALF the price. My last niggle is the clasp. It is totally unacceptable at the price point to have a pressed upper clasp. It is also unacceptable for the so-called diver's extension to be a pressed POS. The clasp must be milled and the diver's extension ought to be a ratcheting system, or the like. Again, Ali Express brands are achieving this level of quality, for less. And let's get one thing right, despite the company's early attempts to promote themselves as a British brand but have now settled on HK brand, these Spinnaker watches are being made in China, right alongside AE brands, so it is not a matter of infrastructure or tooling deficiencies, it is pure incompetence on the part of the executives that make decisions about quality versus profit. Yes, I bought the watch. Yes, I shall love the watch. But, the flaws are unacceptable at the price.
