The story behind Wings for Marie and 10,000 Days is significant and they need to be played together. Also, Lost Keys and Rosetta Stoned need to played together. Great album
Liquid Metal on Sirius radio announced when this single would be played. It would be while I was traveling for work. So I stripped the entire system from my car, and installed it in the rental car, getting to hear this while driving through Ohio...will always remember being PSYCHED for this album...
If I were going to slice this album up I would recommend 1. Vicarious 2. Jambi 3.Wings for Marie (Pt 1) - 10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2) 4. The Pot 5. Lipan Conjuring - Lost Keys (Blame Hofmann) - Rosetta Stoned 6. Intension 7. Right in Two - Viginti Tres
Seeing them in Nashville on 1-28-24. My favorite lyrical line comes from this song. “The universe is hostile, so impersonal. Devour to survive so it is so it’s always been!!! ❤️❤️
going to drag a virgin to the Jan show here in the A. Pop his cherry ha!l. He's actually an amazing bassist and from a fairly well-known group. The internet Band. (Name dropping to promote his music lol) I saw Tool last time they were here in 2020. Awesome show.
I'm really, really happy for you. You will see that the concert will be a wonderful experience, even if Maynard's voice has now lost the power it had 10-15 years ago and has to make up for it with electronic effects, his technique still remains excellent. Unfortunately, time doesn't show any favors to him either and his organs age. I'm not saying that he will sing badly, nor that it will be a bad concert. I'm just saying that whoever had time to listen to him while he was still at his peak was incredibly lucky and witnessed something divine. I have only seen them 2 times unfortunately because they don't come very often here in Italy: in 2007 and 2019. I have to say that unfortunately I noticed the difference. The other 3 on the other hand, as they get older, continue to get even better.
Maynards always used effects on his voice and he is in his 60’s…. It’s kind of expected to see a bit of a fall off. His use of a megaphone in multiple songs, and on pushit it Live he uses reverb to make screams sound longer
@@johncarpenter3751 Yes. It's true that Maynard has always used effects. He's been doing this since long before TOOL existed. The difference, however, is that until a few years ago he used them to refine and characterize his vocal parts, while now that he no longer has the power he had before, he also uses them to replace some parts that he used to do alone and now he is no longer able to do (or perhaps he prefers not to do them anymore to preserve himself) and simply replaces them with a "normal" singing full of effects.
