I always was a sold fan of the French tanks. Indiscriminately of class. I liked that many of them were odd, and fun to play. The bathtub being an example among so many. The ELC Bis too, or the UE 57.... lol.... Initially, the French tanks were known as the auto-loaders. Like the AMX 12t had a 6 shells clip. Also, the heavy line that initially came were the AMX 100 line. Those were never conceived as Heavy tanks. This is why they were returned to their initial state when the M4 line came out. The French line has these little hidden gems which are not spoken about any longer: the Lorraine 40t, Bat-Chat 25t that are so much fun to play. When you climb the French line, there is never a dull moment. Whatever class of tank you picked.
I’d love to see a whole series of on track and once you do all of the tanks in the game you could do an in depth “full grind from stock” videos! Obviously that’s pretty ambitious but I think that would be a super cool long term goal!!!! Also I’d love to platoon with you sometime!!! I typically get like 1.5k damage but I struggle to stay alive as long as you typically do. Love the videos!!! Keep it up!!!
Not gonnal lie, I've always had a love for the French heavies. The BDR slapped face, and I loved it. It's gun aimed slow, but in my eyes, it was a tier 5 KV-85 with better gun depression. The ARL was fun, too. I never bothered with the long 90mm. The shorter 90 was perfectly competitive with contemporary guns like on the M6, and the 105 was able to turn into a budget version of the Tiger II's gun by loading prammo. The M4 45, I just thought of as a Panther with more alpha. And I loved the Panther. The 50 100 was a pure joy to play. The only one that really needed help was the 65t. TBH, I think it's a pretty smooth criminal now, not too hard to get a 3k game with a peek-a-boom technique, which is much more doable with its improved agility.
I really like this line , I'm on tier 9 at the moment. I struggled with the premium tier 10 wrestling tank but iv improved a lot since then and have a feeling ill enjoy the AMX m4 54 a lot.
Man the ARL 44 grind is really horrendous until you get the 105. I moved on to the 90mm but think I am gonna switch back to using 105 with full prammo, nice tip mate.
@@Petty360 I am managing 6-7 kill games fairly often now having gone back to using it. No-one expects to get slapped for 330, I have seen so many full health tanks try to YOLO me and I delete them in two shots. Thanks man the grind is way less painful now.
105 is the way I run the ARL. 212 pen on a tier 6 is tempting but just totally unnecessary. Better to slap them in the face for 25-37% more damage per shot. The M6 is a great tier 6 heavy, and it only has 160 mm of penetration. And less armor. If the M6 can be good, the ARL can definitely manage.
I always loved the tier 9 and the 10 just felt like a worse tier for tier version of it (so naturally I was disappointed in it) the armour profile also annoyed me with the cheeks, ammorecked for days in it too. Definitely better since the buffs for sure tho, just a lingering dislike for it. Just How it goes. (Also Andres my bad luck tank, always get oneshot or set on fire twice in it 🤣)
@@Petty360 yes true thats why you run safe stowage and fire prevention , besides the point before the buffs there were shit 🫤 after the buff I give them B+ someone would just say to you *get gud * but I agree with the Get gud 😂 also the cheeks were hard and still is hard to pen to this day ...looks like u gotta salty aftertaste in your mouth
Arl 44 and m4 45 are awful. Both suck. Arl the terrible reverse speed and derpy 105 just get you killed. Top 90mm is good to snipe with if you can avoid getting spotted and nuked. The M4 stock grind absolutely blows and is completely useless until you unlock the 105 again. Which still has the same problem as tier 6. Cant hit shit. And what you do hit wont pen unless you go full prem. Haven't upgraded m4 fully yet but the only decent thing it has is view range. Everything else sucks so far. Your full skill commanders are definately hard carrying those early tanks.
The 105 should only be played full Prem because it has higher alpha and not just pen, and 223 pen is enough at tier 6 or 7 tbf. Since the buffs especially the M4 45 is a solid tank. Just play it as a medium
It's not on sale, this is just a video covering the line. I used to do these videos in sink with on tracks but then they started making them about newly buffed lines, and it takes a lot of time to make them aswell as get replays so I can't do it like before. But it's there for if there is an on track for it and somebody types in "AMX M4 54 on track in Google or Tubeyou hopefully this video will pop up and be helpful
