Our Nursing Department celebrated Onam festival in our college campus ....
At first you have to know 2 things --
1. What is Onam ?
Onam is a 10-day Hindu harvest festival that culminates with a feast. Onam is celebrated by Hindu people all over the world, but the festival originated with the Malayali people in the Kerala region of India.
2.Why do we celebrate Onam festival?
Onam festivities are arranged to welcome the famous Emperor Mahabali, which is believed to visit Kerala state every year during Onam. The people celebrate this festival with great passion and enthusiasm, as the King is respected greatly by the locals.
