Hey Everyone!
So today's video is the first in a while, since I broke my foot in late October, so I'm very excited to bring you all a new video on the Genset, which today is focused on the electric choke, and insuring that it starts up every time on the first try. I hope you all enjoy, and as always, leave any questions, or concerns in the comment box below, and I will be happy to answer!
*****CORRECTIONS*****
-When I was talking about the tally marks on the casing corresponding to 5 degrees in temperature, I did not mean 5 degrees OF temperature. The Onan official manual has a chart which shows you how many degrees to rotate your electric choke based on the standard ambient temperature. Once you have your number degrees that you need to rotate it clockwise from that chart, you can then transfer that number to the casing, remembering that each mark represents 5 degrees RADIALLY. That was a mistake in wording that I failed to mention.
- Also I am aware that my choke ended up backing off to 5 tick marks past reference point, which happens to end up being around 74° Fahrenheit which was the temperature that day when I filmed it funny enough! Just make sure to hold it in place when you are doing adjustments unlike what I did when I let go, and that should ensure that you get your adjustments prefect when working on your genset!
