This week I'll show you a relatively cheap solution for having onboard air on your 4x4. This great little compressor is portable, durable, and really inexpensive. After almost a year of use, I'll give you my honest opinion on this little air pumper.

BleepinJeep I think that filter has the same thread size as the viair compressor. I have that same masterflow compressor and have used it to seat the bead on truck(285/75/16) and trailer tires. This compressor inflates faster than the viair constant duty and quarter duty compressors.

Good accurate review. I bought one of these also at pep boys for $65 or so. Had mine for about 12 years now and works great still. My air hose got brittle and cracked a couple years ago. Been great! Also- my bag fell apart but it fits perfectly in an ammo can now!

Good review, always like watching your videos! I’ve got the bigger single piston arb for my lockers and as a back up to my a/c converted air compressor. A/c is about 3-4 times quicker than the little arb.

I've been carrying a similar solution I found in one of the Germany based supermarkets here. This one uses a lighter connector, but other than that it's the same thing. It's been working nicely for 4 years now.

I love mine! After one yr of airing up a 32" tire from 15 to 37 psi 4-6 times a month for a yr my pump failed. I contacted the company directly. They replied with either I could send it in or if I felt comfortable I can open it up and inspect the valves. I replied with a picture and they replied with a shipping confirmation for a free valve replacement. That was 4 yrs ago and still running strong. I thought I would have replaced it by now but it's a great pump.

These are a great cheap solution. I bought one last winter after I had a flat at work. Kept in the Cherokee full time and have used it quite a bit. 30x9.5 15(baby tires I know) go from 0 to 32 in 2 min 15or30 seconds. Used for river tubes, quad tires, truck and car tires and has yet to let me down. I was going to mount it and plumb up the Cherokee but it’s small and convenient enough to have it floating in the back ready to grab and take to a buddy’s rig if needed.

It's a cheap great handy tool. It doesn't matter if is on off in out or in the muffler, does the work. About the filter, let it break then modify it, install any other filter, will work anyway. By the way you can modify it with a fire extinguisher tank. Remember you can modify and build anything. Keep going, great ideas, good videos. Thanks👍👍👍🇵🇷🇵🇷

Nice review- thank you. My Harbor freight air pump is getting tired, and was thinking of upgrading. Will definitely scope this one out. You may have already heard this, but I found a metal ammo box from the local Army/Navy store, and keep my compressor in that. Rugged, weather tight and I can throw a few more small tools in with it.

Looks identical to my Superflow MV50 from O'reillys. The rubber insulator on the air hose gets really squishy when its hot. Its easy to burn your fingers unhooking the hose right after use. I always let my compressor sit on the tailgate a minute or so before unhooking the air hose and putting the unit back in the bag. Superflow also makes a MV80 which is (2) MV50 units hooked together.

Years ago I bought an air compressor that came in a bag just like that. It was called Slime and the air hose was green instead of red. I only used it a few times, and once was last year. It burned up within a few minutes of use. It still looked brand new. I always turned it on after plugging it in to the valve stem so I guess that might have been a contributing factor.

I wish I would have known about this a while back. 2 years ago I needed a compressor because I was going to go wheeling. I was on a low budget and didn't have time to wait for something to be shipped to my door. So I went to Walmart and paid 60 bucks for a cheap plastic compressor made by Slime. It still works to this day. But it's beat up. Most of the plastic is broke. It airs a 33 inch tires up really slow and will not exceed 30 psi. Worked fine for airing up air mattresses. It was better than nothing. Knowing that there are better compressors out there for around the same price is pretty cool. I'm looking into getting a viair. I want something better built and more reliable.

Go to a semi truck repair shop they usually have spare air tanks that they get rid of for scrap metal. I got me a 10gallon tank for free. Make a bracket to attach it to the inside of the frame, put the compressor in the bed of the truck inside a tool box if u dont have a bed cover, or if u have space bolt in close to your battery. I spent $100 on the compressor, attachments & wiring. Works great for air tools & to air up my 35" tires!

if you had a small air tank 2-8 gallons on the vehicle and arent in a rush this can be used to run an impact or die grinder on the trail.. vary intermittently obviously youll be waiting for more pressure constantly but its a cheap chose which is easily upgradeable/replaceable even if hard wired into the vehicle with tank

They way I used to air my tire up fast was to use my hi lift jack to lift up a corner to take the weight off the tire cause I had a cheap walmart lighter plug in one so I would use the hi lift jack to take the vehicle weight off that tire and use my pump it helped to air my tire up faster and not overheat my pump.

Looks like a good set up to have to carry between vehicles for road trips. IE wife's car/tow rig. But for a dedicated trail rig. You can't beat a permanent York set up or a tank. I think my York is 9cfm. I can fill a 40" tire from flat in about a min. at idle.

hey I do not know about that one but I have the earlier model of this Kobalt one $50 and it has been great. The digital gauge in this has been accurate and it will run on 12v or 120v and it has had no problem inflating the E-ply tires on the truck to 80 psi on either the 12 or 120 volt. Turns out it has two motors and two pumps inside the thing and I assume the new version is the same and the reviews on the new one are still great at lowes www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-12-Volt-Car-Air-Inflator/1000092575

But it's a non AC truck, and it would be a bitch to find all the right pulleys and brackets. We often see below -30C/-22F. Or above +30C/86F. Wondering how it works in different temps.

I went with a Puma air compressor from eBay, about 5 times faster than my previous compressor, which was basically like this one in the video!

Hearing people are paying 550 plus mounting brackets for the ARB is way overpriced.

The title is incorrect. It says MaxFlow; but, it should be Master Flow. Any ways, this gave me an idea to adding to BleepinJeep's Product line. I checked out Alibaba dot com and found similar air compressors between 10 and 17 dollars. Some with blowmold cases and even junky tools too. Others with bags or no bags. Many of them with 40 minute duty cycles. Might want to consider something like that. Test it out. Put your name on it. Sell it.
