I saw him wave twice and wondered what happened I went back because of your comment and see it clearly. Answered my question. I was so on the edge of my seat I didn't catch everything first viewing :)
That was not a brake-check though, the Porsche driver simply refused to let him pass despite the blue flag. That section is a bit scary for the driver because the car moves around much more than visible on camera
So the driver went slow at the start just to A. get tyres up to temp and preserve them whilst doing so and B. Gave him loads of people to overtake once tyres and car up to temp. Great bit of racing there 👏👏👏👏
Great racing, great footage! I own a 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce, took it to the local racetrack a couple of years back. Had a great time, but very hard on the nerves. This was a race for beginners, although i had GT40 (replicas) roaring by me now and then.....
yes this got me pumped up. I felt like I was on edge sitting on my chair at the desk here watching this! I actually got scared/adrenaline a few times ha.
