I'm confused as to why this matters, i have been playing while having a good number of tabs of youtube in the background. Not once have i had any issues, and if it does stutter than i don't think i ever notice it and without vids like this i would have never known(i have zero reasons to have performance number up while playing).
If you guys and gals are having problems, try capping the fps. With a 6900xt or rtx 4070 equivalent or above I highly recommend capping it to 120fps in game and turn off vsync. This resolved high cpu usage on my end and I posted this on steam forums and helped a ton of people. For my 6900xt / 6950xt and 5800x3d setup it now normally stays around 40-60% cpu usage, when the game spawns stuff or something demanding happens it goes no farther than 70%. This will also help with the hitching even if you have lets say an rtx 4080 and play at max settings with 1440p native. Yeah the 4080 can achieve a peak of 200fps but if you leave the fps unlimited it will still drop to 120's - 130's. Once you set a 120 fps cap the game is butter smooth the whole time and 0 hitches. This game engine runs better if you cap it or run a max of 120 fps. Pegged 120fps 99% of the time and dipping down to 115 fps in rare cases is much much better than if you are peaking from 200 FPS down to 120's up and down. Especially in this game. Just Try it.. It will work on mid to high end machines. I can't promise anything if you have a low end pc, you will have to cap at 60fps or even less if you have a really low end pc.
I dont get it, the game has a huge ass mouse lag that gets worse the higher the fps you got.. and people are playing at 120?.. I tried with 90 fps... bad delay.. then tried 70..still delay.. but at 60 fps, the crosshair feels your movement with bareable delay..
@@zWORMzGamingThe funniest is when you post a benchmark of some GPU like 4070 and get 70fps on average and then someone in the comments is like I get 100+fps all the time on my 4070.
I think that has to do with optimization on certain hardware. My 5600x sits at a comfortable 60-70% utilisation at 4800mhz locked that too at 1080p and I manage around 120-130 average. This game definitely has a cpu / RAM optimization issue because dropping down my resolution from 1440p (for testing) down to 720p absolutely did nothing in terms of the horrible fps drops I experience in later stages of the game with bigger settlements. From 130 fps directly down to 90-95 fps constant. In that sense they must've not lied but stated their own experience and are enforcing it as a general fact.
@@arsalanali7499 of course dropping your resolution wouldnt help the cpu usage, your gpu controls your resolution, not cpu. If you trade out higher graphics and then cap your fps, for example if you constantly get 128 fps cap it at 120, and cpu usage issue is gone.
really weird that there's sometimes 100% utilization of both GPU and CPU. How does that even work? Maybe they're CPU mining in the background with low priority, haha.
Love your videos. Do you use the same monitor for each resolution? If so, how do you change it to look so good? I have a 4k monitor and i use a 4070 super but in some games i choose more fps and when setting the game res to 1080p it looks awful. What do you recommend?
@@zWORMzGaming As far as i noticed, RX 550 deliver 35-45 FPS and used the CPU up to 80% and GTX 750it delivered 45-60FPS (10-15 FPS more). With that increment the CPU usage will increase but this game needs to be optimised sir. Maybe try Locking the FPS to a sweet spot sir. Correct me if iam Wrong sir.♥
If I'm not mistaken, it loads all bases on the fly so that you get less stutters when you're already near the player's base. Unlike some other games which only starts to load assets when you get near a certain point which causes massive frame drops
Guys cap your fps to 60 through nvidia control panel and in game settings too ,this will reduce the high cpu usage i did this and my stutters reduced alot. The 80-70 cpu usage went down to 50-60 only sometimes touches 70-75
Was this on the NetEase launcher or on Steam? Steam seems to have significantly lower cpu usage, at the cost of significantly more input delay and mouse smoothing, but swapping to NetEase despite copying over the same steam files, has much snappier responsiveness, but big cpu spikes constantly. Bizarre game.
I have a 7800X3D+4080 and was getting 100% CPU usage instances as well. It happens when GPU usage hits around 100, then CPU spikes. If you cap your FPS to keep the GPU under 100%, say trying to keep it 95% and under, the CPU usage is normal, like around half usage. It seems to be bugged, maybe with AMD/X3D and/or combined with Nvidia.
It’d be interesting to see a comparison video with a high end GPU with the cpu used in both 7800x3D and 7950x3D capacities to see cpu loads and fps performance Kryzzp 😇🥰💪👍
100 percent use of the processor, because the processor, like the video card, generates frames and the more frames, the greater the load; if it turns on the lock for 60 frames, then the load will be minimal compared to 140+ frames without vertical synchronization. Everything is logical, don’t be surprised, optimization is not all that bad in this game...
who else agrees that Kryzzp is the best person to look up to when you're upset, not feeling the best, or overwhelmed? He is always so positive and comical, which always puts a smile on my face even if I'm not feeling the best :)) we love you Kryzzp!!
Kryzp, try it with all of the core enabled and use the 4070 again. I am interested to see if there is a difference, especially in terms of the frametime
I have a 7800x3d, if you lock your ppt to 75w it'll stop using 100% cpu and still have the same performance! Im at 140fps in most areas in 1440p all max settings.
I'm still struggling to understand what this game likes from a PC hardware point of view. Running a Ryzen 9 5950x and RX 6700 XT and get around the same fps (maybe a bit lower)
The first thing I see is 99% cpu usage and I’m like WTFF. I have a 4060 i7 and I always turn graphics all the way down regardless of what game it is for the fps. I average about a steady 220-240fps at 1080p and like 40% cpu usage. Some of these games be going wild frfr
I play with a I5-10400 and 1660ti 32 gigs of ram, I play on a mix of high and med. settings and have it locked at 80fps, game runs fine other than some weird lag from time to time , I get a slight fps drop but they do not line up with the system lag and my ping seems fine , I was getting up to 80% and sometimes higher cpu usage but for the last week it has gone down to 30 to 50% usage with an occasional high usage jump but not as consistent as it was
nvidia is trying to figure it out if they are still human, that is why CPU usage is extremely high on nvidia cards in this game! EDIT: AA is absolutelly terrible, especially on highest settings. Even AMD CAS can't sharpen it enough...
got same issue on a 7800x3d and a 4070ti cpu went crazy to 80 degres sometimes i changed the cpu consuming percentage on windows from 100% to 99% and it makes it stick to 45 50 degres with same performances on the game
I have now weird setup: CPU: i7 3770k 4.3Ghz GPU: RX 6700 XT 12GB RAM: DDR3 1800Mhz 16GB (overclocked from 1333Mhz and its not in dual Chanel because its 1x4gb 1x4gb and 1x8gb) And in this game i have like 66-90 FPS on 1080p Max settings
Playin at 60 fps , on tv.. only about 55 usage off cpu , btw ryzen 5 2600 x.. motherboard b450m dsh3 from gigabyte and 32gb lexar ram.. gpu rx 480 8gb.. all runs good.. love the game .. its different. Salut guys
video settings in this game are eally weird. The preset setting is actually an individual settings in itself. Turn that to low and other settings to high, you''ll have completely different visuals. It's really weird.
Does anybody know how to fix the high latency after unlocking framerate (or even at 120 fps cap)? I'm playing at 60 default capped FPS, else I get sick latency.
i dont know why but my i3 10100f only take 20-60% while playing this game, but not my 750 ti 💀 btw you maybe must continue playing this game until get a jellyfish deviant that attack with icy aura, this is nightmare for my device because everytime i use this deviant my game suddenly got framedrop a lot
@@pinchitv "Far better" is an overstatement. Almost identical animations, looks the same as a dozen other games and has nothing to make it stand out visually. Could easily be from 2015
@@Zigeuninja animations are trash i agree but graphics look way better than pubg, not claiming graphics are outstanding either but there is a big difference
idk why this game looks insanely blurry at 1080p at least in my case, like, unplayable level of blurry, looks like an old 480p tv with a lot of soft noise idk why 😭
Dont you notice the mouse lag this game has at high fps or what?....Make a test, limit the fps to 60 and you will see the mouse is much quicker at 60 fps than at 120, something that makes no sense but.. they are forcing mouse smoothing and shit happens..
Can you test it on a RTX 4090? I buy in 4 5Months a RTX 4090 and i will look. Yea have other videos but yours the Best Pleas 3 4 new videos for 4090 i have See all😂
@zWORMzGaming not wrong but my server does have many bases as well. I started day 1 so most people have much bigger bases than what I've seen on your vid. I'll check the exact cpu usage later on tho.
on 13/14 intel not happen that ....i dont know why the developers haven't fixed it yet and it's been like this since the beta (so I read) .if y freeze your fps (not from game) from riva tuner es 90 cpu usage go normal 20/30% as long as the video card isn't maxed out. anyway i unistall that lol
Thank you, now i know to not play this game until they optimize that CPU usage, even rust on a 1000 player server runs better and doesnt use 100% CPU lol.
I have a 5800x3d too with 6950xt I cap it at 120 max settings 1440p native and it runs flawless and it normally stays 40-60% cpu usage and rare occasions maybe 70% max when a lot of stuff is loading in the background. Game runs better if you cap it to 120 fps max
