As a person in year 7 and moving into year 8 in a months time. Re-listening to this makes you realise just how much Primary School means to someone. The friends that I made always stood by my side. I don’t have nearly as many in secondary school as I’m beginning to be myself and people see me as weird. Now here and in secondary, listening to this again gives me nostalgia and I keep coming back to it. My class sand this song at my leavers assembly and believe me when I say everyone cried. The lyrics had to be changed to fit out school. Being in this position where you realise just how far you’ve come and everyone you met with the memories makes you feel a way that I can’t describe. If you’re in year 6 and moving up, spend your time wisely and cherish what you have because it will all change in secondary. The expectation of the quick transition is major and a hard journey, make sure to never forget who helped you get as far as you have. 💗😭😭😭💗

Being real honest here, im just tearing up remembering thing song. Listening to this is how you realise you can never go back to the primary days. Finally getting into year 6 felt like a dream come true, You were the oldest of the school and it felt like heaven (for most of us). I’m in year 9, in year 10 soon and still remember primary. I remember from year 3 onwards I started to hate school cuz kids bullied me, but now that I’m almost 15 I realise life was so, simple so, easy and even though bullying is rare in high school for me I still wish I could go back to year 1 introduction and hug my ambitious, innocent and simple besties who are now a bunch of chavs that only care about how they look and boys. I am only in touch with one primary friend and she’s changed so much, she is no longer that bossy girl who judges ppl she has grown way taller than me and has matured. I on the other hand still have the same voice and face, but the way I think has changed I lot cuz Ik there is a lot more outside of skl life and bullies… 🥺❤️Kids remember ur primary years cuz they will be the best of ur life, no worries no heaps of homework and much more potential.

I’m crying, honestly primary is very different to secondary, I’m moving into Year 8 this year, this just reminds me of all the friends I had and have moved on. I miss being able to go into the bathrooms without smelling vape, or walking through the corridors without being pushed by older kids. I miss feeling safe around people I had known for 7 years. I miss my teachers, even the ones I hated and thought I was stupid.

I’m graduating from college in 3 weeks and I’m going to university in September. I just feel so emotional listening to this as it brings back so many childhood memories and it makes me miss my childhood Update Thursday 30th June 2022: today I graduated college and I still can’t believe it! So sad that my grandad didn’t get to see me leave year 6. When his grandkids would leave primary he would take them to his favourite place, the golf course. He would teach them how to play it and 1 of my cousins are now playing professionally. He died 1 month before I left in a nursing home that is on the golf course. He died from cancer. He had therapy and everything started looking better. He lived with us for a week. When he went back he had to go into hospital. I was lucky enough to see him in the nursing home. When he was ill there, he had his full sense of humour. Cancer is not something that can steal someone! He died in June this year. Such a great… -Brother -Dad -Grandad -Great grandad -Step dad -Husband -Friend to most of Coventry - Step brother RIP, grandad. You did me and the family proud 😉❤️. Fly high!

In primary I was like GET ME OUT OF HERE in year 8 I'm like PRIMARY COME BACKKK Edit: oml i posted this ages ago ty for all the replies and likes I'm in year 10 now and its okay just very stressfull year 8 was pretty easy compared to this i start year 11 in September and its all going by so quick!!! Edit: im in year 11 now 3 months left!! Carnt belive time flies by so fast.. If your starting high school or are in it make as many memories as you can take photos videos because you will regret it trust me i regret it so bad being the shy kid not talking to anyone just be yourself and the memories will follow from there. Finally if your in year 9 or 10 start revising i regret that i only just started and the stress is real i never thought it would be as stressful as people said it to be and now its always late nights so much anxiety always feeling not good enough so please start now!! My last edit will be on the 25th of August 2022

I miss my primary school so much, I’m halfway thru yr 10 now. You don’t realise it at the time but primary school is amazing, I still go back and see my teachers after graduating 4 years ago. High school has also been hard forming such a strong relationship with a teacher I had yr 7, 8 and 9, then moving to the senior campus forming a good relationship with another teacher who I could go on about for hours.

I work in a primary school, I tell the children all the time to cherish these years and not to want to be grown to fast because before you know it you've become an teenager about to leave high school or college and you'll miss it so much. Our old year 6's tell me you were right miss. We miss it so much.

Its only 3 weeks till i leave and 2 weeks ago i was saying "omg i want to leave" now i've just realised how much fun i had and all my friends have stuck with me since year 1 and there the best friends i've ever had. Anyone in year 5 or 4 dont wish it away its so fun. And i no they wont see this but thank you to are my teachers for helping me through this incredible journey. Thanks for reading

Our class sang this song in Year 3 (up to the Year 3 part). I'm in Grade 6 now and this brings back so many memories. We had a teacher who i think was new and came as a kind of helper with our regular teacher for just two terms and she would always help us practice this song, she had to leave the school. I dont remember why but she said that she promised that she would try to come back to school on the day of our song assembly. But she had come a bit late on the day and she said that she had really tried to but imagined how well we had done the song. Those were one of the last days at school for Year 3 and she had to leave to a new school on that day just at the end of the school day. We all missed her and gave her presents on that day. That night I wondered if I'd ever see her again and I dont know if that's a 'Yes' or a 'No', yet.

Remember the Santa Dashes, religious celebration days, swimming, sometimes class clowns?That one teacher?All the jobs such as school counsellor, anti bullying ambassadors along with many more, the school plays we all loved, even choir? All the great topics we all hated but was meant passionate about not even realising high school topic SUCKS ,our favourite teachers leaving ,assembly’s, pen licence, OUR BESTIES,all the fall outs we had so dramatic can’t lie,the mini role plays we did which were sooooooo funny,remember the competitions we had , bringing are teddy bears into school for Christmas celebration day, the themed lunch,EVEN THE BEST TRIPS SUCH AS THE RESIDENTIAL, man it’s gonna be so hard on the last day to bear seeing all this fade away into the past We will miss you primary school

Primary is literally another home and for some people, somewhere you know you can always feel safe and loved. I’m about to leave and only a month ago it hit how much it impacted these 7 years and now it really hurts. I really didn't understand why this was on my recommended even though I'm in year eleven and doing my GCSEs but then I watched this and ALL of my primary memories came flooding back. I want to go back to primary so so bad, no stress, no responsibilities and not a whole load of work. But everyone going into year seven remember it isn't always easy, there'll be your ups and downs but you'll have your old friends with you and make new ones too, who'll be just as important xx.

The fact that you just realized you went through all these things and you can't go back is deppressing. I'm in Year 5 and i'm so close to graduating and moving forward to high school. It's sad how I spent 2 school years at home online because of covid. I realized that I should enjoy time before it gets washed away forever.

Wow…I just finished year seven and not long until year 8 starts…I remember being in year 6…no worries, no stress, fun amazing kind teachers, being able to be my crazy self and do whatever I want without no judgement. Games every day with friends no matter who it was. When it was the last day + graduation I remember balling my eyes out and hugging everyone I could. I got my shirt signed and wore it to bed.
