Dancing Bears Painted Wings Things I almost remember. And a song someone sings Once upon a December. Someone holds me safe and warm. Horses prance through a silver storm. Figures dancing gracefully across my memory. Someone holds me safe and warm. Horses prance through a silver storm. Figures dancing gracefully across my memory. Far away, Long ago, Glowing dim as an ember, Things my heart Used to know Things it yearns to remember And a song someone sings Once upon a December
I always try to express how tenderly beautiful this song is and I cannot, I heard this song hundreds of times and I always end up in tears.....beautiful!
So I grew up with this movie being my favorite of all time. I was always obsessed with it since. I got a chance to see it on broadway with christy Altamore and I pretty much cried just the whole time. Plus she grew up in a town very close to me and the whole thing is an experience I’ll never forget
Wow. Christy Altomare's voice is so good I really love her voice. Why she's underrated? Her voice literally cured my depression, I love that voice so much! 💝💝💝
@@CarolineForbesAndTaylorSwift Genuine question because I don’t know much about Broadway, but can I know how she originated it considering the song came out way earlier in the animated film version?
@@ria942 She originated the role of Anya on Broadway. So her acting choices are original. The songs from the film aren’t, but her acting choices are there.
@@ria942 that means she is the first actor playing the role on broadway . i am a singer and have just posted my acapella cover of once upon a december : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9ZFGIotPOjs.html would make my day if you can listen to it and lemme know wt u think
I agree! Definitely subjective, but it's not my favorite only because of the tempo. Same with the musical's version of Journey to the Past. It's a bit too slow lol
I dont know why i always cry a lot listening to this song, like everytime, it feels hurt and the scene in the movie is not that sad so i dont get why it made me feel like that
Perhaps its the unrealized tragedy behind the moving song, that snuffed out the lives of the character's elegant warm, haunting memories. -- One's entire childhood family, evil communists ruthlessly wiped-out: father, mother, siblings! -- Gentle music box notes, calls forth their ghosts.
@@missydnd2036 Ok? And who is this "someone else"? apart from the character exactly, idk if u read my comment again "grew up with Anastasia" meaning I grew up with the movie. so the music is also dear to me. breh what u have to be so arrogant about 💀 and for whatever reason u think I'm self centered/attention seeker, I'm not. I don't even expect anyone to reply to it anyway- and if anyone's name is also Anya I'd be happy we're the same.
Christy performed as Anastasia (broadway musical) but Liz Callaway voiced Anastasia (1997 animated movie by Fox) So they’re technically are real singer of this song
Есть! Должна заметить, что композитору удалась стилизация, вальс действительно звучит по-русски, грустно и надрывно. Что вполне уместно, учитывая подлинную историю Великой Княжны...
