Grammy nominated Jenny Oaks Baker performs a "Once Upon A Dream" with the Portland Ensign Choir and Orchestra. "Once Upon A Dream" can be found on Jenny's album "Wish Upon a Star".
I remembered hearing this song when I was a kid and it was only until now that I learnt what this song is called. Thanks for uploading this and bringing me back fond childhood memories.
In case you´d like to know, the original is by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and is called Waltz from the sleeping beauty ballet which the Disney interpretation is taken from.
@@keithrowsell6847 I know this is 3 years later, hope you're well? Lol. Thank you for this info, this music is just true Disney and happy memories and my kids love it.
I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem But if I know you, I know what you'll do You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream But if I know you, I know what you'll do You'll love me at once The way you did once upon a dream I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream I know you, that gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem But if I know you, I know what you'll do You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream
Um, anybody care to give Tchaikovsky credit for this? "Once Upon A Dream" is from his masterpiece "Sleeping Beauty". =) Nevertheless, beautiful performance.
Love watching this video again after years. When my little granddaughter was in her terrible twos I’d play this for her and she’d calm right down and say again again again.
Okay this was an amazing piece, but i think it was a bit on the fast side, it's normally slower than this. I just feel like this was a bit rushed, I am a cellist, and will never be able to hit the high notes she hit on the violin, which was really cool! But overall this was amazing! Keep up the good work!
Confesso que chorei de emoção! Meu coração se enche de amor! Obrigada Disney por fazer meu mundo infantil mais interessante. Hoje sou uma adulta que nunca mais vou esquecer desses lindos clássicos! ❤️👑🌹
Lindsey is a good composer and a good violin player. But did you hear her playing during her lives? She misses so many notes sometimes it's even painful to hear. I really like "Electric Daisy" and "Spontaneous Me", but this is a completely different way of playing. She's far from deserving a Grammy. Just hear and notice the differences.
I believe Lindsey Stirling didn't actually finish school. I remember seeing her in orchestra (BYU) and hearing about a couple videos she made and then she disappeared. Jenny Oaks Baker on the other hand went to Julliard and got her masters.
Honestly I'm here after watching the etherial remix by A. Krishna.. Its epic and beautiful yet scary but despite that it makes want to listen to it more I recommend it... And this is a beautiful piece
Why does nobody ever credit Tchaikovsky for this piece!? It is his melody! The guys at Disney only put some words to it! Lovely arrangement here though.
It really is something charming and extremely beautiful God exists, creation and the virtuous arts bears witness to it, God loves us, but sin separates us from Him, therefore He sent His Son Christ to live a Holy life, to die on a Cross paying the penalty for our sins, saving us from the condemnation, dark powers and curses, reconciling us with God only by Faith in Jesus and his Sacrifice, Giving us Eternal Life, God bless you
A tad fast but lovely arrangement and great playing/singing! The bit around 3:30 ish is just a "look at how well I can play" and spoils the otherwise lovely song for me, though!
I got laughed at back when I was living in Camden at the library when I was singing and some kids was laughing and mocking me and one person posted the video on Facebook and wrote 15 mean comments instead of nice comments about me and I was embarrassed and upset about it no one likes my talent I like to sing a lot while listening to music and singing along and dancing too any positive advice for me about my situation please I need a new friend someone who’ll accept me for who I am and not judge me just because I’m different from other people please am I considered a princess like princess Aurora my hair is naturally curly and how can I find my happily ever after any advice for me please
