I had this song downloaded on my phone but I had never heard it before, so I was just walking casually down the street with my headphones on MAX VOLUME listening to this song for the very first time and just vibing .. Then that goddamn scream came and scared the living hell out of me to the point where I actually jumped, tripped, and almost fell 😂😂 I just deleted the song right away 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

Yes, QoFy is the best! Hugs to the QoFy gang 🤗 The original was in the Sleeping Beauty cartoon when she and the prince first met. A very upbeat, typical Disney song. When they did the Maleficent movie a few years back (starring Angelina Jolie), the song was given a new, much darker arrangement by Lana Del Ray to suit the theme of the movie. Voiceplay is covering that version. I totally went fangirl on that movie because Maleficent is my favorite movie villain, and Angelina Jolie is my favorite actress. 😍

Thank you so much for this reaction. I got such a good laugh from your reactions to Geoff at the beginning & the scream. Don't feel bad about the cursing; I did exactly the same thing the first time I saw this. 😂 They did release a version of the song without the scream (song only/no video) which is the one I have in my playlist. Would love to see reactions to their covers of Tennessee Whiskey which has great solo sections by both Eli & J, Phantom of the Opera which has Tony & features Rachel Potter and/or Kiss which is another favorite of mine. None of them have scary surprises.

Great reaction!! I have to admit that I hate the Maleficent movies with the fire of a thousand suns, but I love the original Disney animated classic and I think VoicePlay did a great job with this version of the song. Thing is, Maleficent was THE scariest Disney villain for me when I was a kid, so I really did not like the fact that Disney decided to make her a tragic misunderstood anti-hero. I do get why people like the movies, though. It's just a me thing.
