This is what should be called a "sayang". Let's be honest, this contingent copied the musicality of Sinanduloy's performances on 2015 and 2020, their costumes are even similar with Minglanilla’s Sugat Kabanhawan 2022 performance. But I'm going to be as pragmatic as I could, the concept and the execution was nice, so as the props. It's just the costumes and musicality that torn this piece of art into pieces. They shouldn't have recycled someone else's property, but should have put some originality on theirs instead. A glow up and a downgrade of Inayawan at the same time.

Actually I’m an avid viewer of the Sinulog Festival and other festivals in Cebu and I’m from Luzon, so how should I know? Saka ko na lang din nalamang ang Musical Director ng Inayawan is from Sinanduloy pala, even some of the dancers are from Minglanilla and so. Pero nakita mo naman, bumawi sa Mardi Gras ang Inayawan and I commend them for that. Maganda lang kasi for me na huwag nang gamitin ang mga musicality ng past performances lalo na ng ibang contingent even though bahagi pa ng isang past contingent ang nag-arrange ng music, nanahi ng costume, at gumawa ng props because magkakaroon ng confusion sa isang ordinaryong watcher lang like me ang kakalabasan ng performance ng particular contingent na 'yon. Just saying, hindi ako galit at hindi ko pinupuna ang Inayawan pero naglalabas lang ako ng mga thoughts ko about sa performance nila. Disappointed nga ako noong una kasi ang ganda ng concept nila eh. Sana 'wag ka rin pong galit dahil isa lang akong avid watcher from Luzon, I know my limits naman and I'm just saying my thoughts. So bakit po niyo kailangang magalit sa 'kin?

Say, what if ang judge ay nag-judge din sa PSS 2022 at Sinulog 2015 and nakita nila at narinig nila na pamilyar ang musicality and props? I doubt na they would actually "research" kuno because it is the competition already. Try to wear my shoes, if ikaw ba maririnig mo ang familiar na sound ng musicality nila and makikita mo yung costume, would you say na it is "original" and not just "re-used"? It's a matter of common sense po, fyi.
