These quick to the point tips are brilliant, I find that there is always something that I am taking away from them. From the previous video on 'fix the colour ' I have now created an action for it and I'm using it all the time towards the end of my work flow as a check that I am happy with the colours in the image. So thank you Colin for these very useful tips, much appreciated.

I used the eyedropper for white balance but didn't realize the others were for black and white. Thank you for this.

I have Photoshop at home and at work (different accounts) and the eyedroppers don’t work anymore on either account. They turn my image washed out and muddy.

I'd like to see an explanation as to how the auto tone, auto contrast, auto-color works under the image tab in Photoshop. Are the results the same as what you just described with the eyedropper tool? But with just one click? I'm just really curious if it's the same thing or if it works differently. Thank you
@photoshopcafe
@photoshopcafe 3 года назад
Its different because with the eyedropper, you can target any color, the auto takes an average over the entire image
@jeffsimbro7742
@jeffsimbro7742 3 года назад
@@photoshopcafe understood! However I do find the white balance eyedropper is a little hit or miss depending on the area you are sampling. Thank you for your response 🙂

I never thought using Levels before. I always use Curves, and change the mode from Normal to Color. So, my highlights, Mid’s, and Blacks do not get effected from the color adjustment.
