Zane again to the rescue! 😊 (I've only ever processed full drum-VSTs within a single track, because i had not yet learned how to multi-output. This saves me the time to self-teach, thankyou truly!)
Again...the more you feature Tracktion ie: Waveform, the more impressed I am. This DAW was unfamiliar to me until you began showing some of its features and improvements since I first came across Tracktion.
Hi, once i set up the multi out channel in this way how could i arm all the tracks to record the e-drum in realtime? i am able to arm only in track at a time setting the input to edrum. thanks
Okay. So you know the little box that says "Don't show again"? Well, I might have hit that by accident. How do I 1.) re-enable it? 2.) Just do it manually if it can't be done automatically? I need multi-out to use any DAW.
If you’re trying to play with e-drums then you’ll need to make sure the drum mapping is correct. Some drum plugins have drum mapping presets for e-drum kits so you’ll need to see if your plugin has a preset for yours. If not then you’ll need to set it up manually.
Bum, not on the free. Btw, I was splitting MT Power Drums as per your video, but now, I just use the faders, and record each drum as an audio file separately. Saves cpu just working with audio files. 😁 I'm getting a new computer, so soon it won't be an issue, but it's still good practice to commit to audio asap I think. I'll come back to this vid later (I hope!) 🙂👊
Another comment said that they have done this in the free version so maybe it’s in the free version now. You may need to update if you haven’t for a while. I used to do the audio method too due to cpu power and memory back in the 32 bit days. It’s a little extra work but it does the job. Whatever works best for you. Thank you for continuing to watch. Keep creating! 👊👍
@@AudioTechTV I have the free OEM version of Waveform. I updated to version 12.5 today and for plugins where the output can be split, i.e. drums, it is asking me whether I want send bits and bobs to various outputs. I haven't been brave enough to try this yet though.
@@AudioTechTV Thanks Zane. I'm still using the OEM version of Waveform 11 atm, but I'll put the free version of 12 on the new PC, so I'll check it out. It's still an old computer, but with twice the CPU power, and 4 times the ram of the laptop I'm using, so I think my work flow will be greatly sped up. On this one, even with everything converted to audio with the processing added, so I'm only using vsts on one element at a time, I have to play an edit about 6 times before it stops glitching, crashing, sandbagging failing, and needing the engine reset and I can start working on the song. Drives me mad! I just sit there with the sound off, clenching my teeth and having chest pains, until it finally plays all the way through a few times and I can start mixing! 🤯 No wonder I drink! 😁
