Welcome to the most international city in Germany, the largest financial centre on the continent, the historical city of coronations, the city of Goethe and the Frankfurt School: Frankfurt am Main, the metropolis in miniature, my adopted city. I have lived here since 1998 and am still in love with the city. Follow me on my time-lapse tour through the skyline, the historic old town, the banks of the Main, and many other amazing places. I wish you a lot of fun and I am looking forward to your feedback.

Everyone has his own view of things, and what one person likes, another person doesn't like. That is quite normal. It’s important to me that both opinions respect each other. We respect that you don't like Frankfurt, and please accept that we like it very much and feel very comfortable here. This would be very nice of you. 😃 I have never been to Turkey before, but I have already heard that it is supposed to be very nice there. I'm from Melbourne Australia, and lived in Frankfurt from 2015 to 2017, and whilst there were some challenging times for me personally and professionally, my time in Frankfurt will forever be remembered as the biggest learning experience and greatest love of my life.. I will forever be in Frankfurt's debt for creating the person I am today, and not a day goes by where I don't think about my lovely apartment at Fahrgasse 26, and the wonderful German girl who invited me into her heart and home for those years..

I'm from Frankfurt Germany, and lived in Melbourne from 2007 to 2008, and whilst there were some challenging times for me personally, my time in Melbourne will forever be remembered as the biggest learning experience and greatest time of my life. I will forever be in Australia's debt for creating the person I am today, and not a day goes by where I don't think about the place in Belgrave street, and the wonderful people who invited me into her home ...

Grüße aus Mainz. Bin froh dass diese Geile Stadt in unmittelbarer Nähe zu uns ist. Fahre immer wieder gerne ins kleine New York zum bummeln . Man fühlt sich einfach wie ein Teil von etwas großem wenn man zwischen den Hochhäusern steht

Ich mag die Skyline auch sehr. 😍 In meinen nächsten Frankfurt-Videos werde ich versuchen, auch andere Orte in Frankfurt zu zeigen, abseits der Skyline. So hat Frankfurt viele Parks und grüne Ecken, die ich auch sehr mag, die aber in Videos über Frankfurt eher weniger oft gezeigt werden. Ich hoffe, dass ich das alles kameratechnisch gut einfangen kann. 😃 Liebe Grüße zurück nach Mainz und einen guten Start in die neue Woche. 🍀

my great grandmother was born here. She moved to America when she got older. I never got to meet her but i’ve always admired Germany and i hope to visit it some day. It looks very beautiful!

Frankfurt seems to be unrealistically surreal and immensely beautiful. I am from india. In India except few of the rich and posh area, this kind of infrastructure is seems to be a dream for many . Love German people for their dedication and hardwork, the way they built their beautiful nation after WW2.

Being raised and still living in Frankfurt, i can really say, that this town is not comparable to the other major cities in germany. Even though it is smaller than Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, it is packed with many diverse sections, I have been to all big cities in germany, but nothing makes me more comfortable than living in Frankfurt am Main.

Best City in Germany and Europe! First one I worked and lived in on the continent. My favorite world wide..I totally miss living there. However, you didn't show enough interesting sites like the tower, roof shots from Galleria Kaufhof. Thanks for sharing :)

It's actually the only Skyline in Germany. All the other cities have just a few higher buildings but nothing compared to Frankfurt

I was an Army brat for my entire childhood. I spent my teenage years in Frankfurt and I am a proud graduate of Frankfurt American High School, Class of 1986. It's truly amazing how much the city has changed since I left almost 35 years ago.

I am living in Frankfurt since 5 Years. I have done Cycling to almost each corrner of the City. The Cycling lane is well managed is Frankfurt. Cycling and Making Videos and taking photos in Frankfurt makes me feel alive. ❤️❤️

I lived in Berlin, Munich and also visited Stuttgart and have been to Frankfurt too-so I have seen the most important cities in Germany.Frankfurt is the most beautiful,but it is not that fast..this is why I think it is underrated.Especially the river view in Frankfurt is amazing, with the skyscrappers around..

Jasmin Alina Guten Morgen und herzlichen Dank für Deinen Kommentar, über den ich mich sehr gefreut habe und freue. Es tut jedes Mal gut, das zu lesen. 😊 Ich bin 1998 nach Frankfurt gezogen und fühle mich hier sehr wohl. Und wie Du selbst auch schreibst gibt es wie in jeder anderen Stadt auf der Welt auch in Frankfurt schöne und weniger schöne Dinge und Plätze, und natürlich konzentriere ich mich in meinen Videos auf die Dinge, die mir gefallen. 🤗 Ich überlege, ob ich kommende Videos „kontrastreicher“ gestalte und vielleicht auch mal zeige, was mir nicht gefällt, aber da bin ich noch im Stadium des „Gedankenmachens“, das wird also noch dauern. 😄 Auf jeden Fall war es eine wahnsinnig tolle Erfahrung, mit meinem Frankfurt-Video so viele Zuschauer zu erreichen. Das hätte ich nie erwartet, da ich meine Videos ja „nur“ als Hobby in meiner Freizeit mit verhältnismäßig einfachen Mitteln erstelle, d.h. kein professioneller Photograph bin. Ich mache die Videos einfach so, wie sie mir selbst gefallen würden. Ich habe mittlerweile auch viel Feedback erhalten, darunter sehr viele konstruktive Anregungen und Ideen, was ich klasse finde. Ich mag es sehr, mich mit anderen Ansichten und Herangehensweisen auseinander zu setzen und konnte dabei auch schon viel für mich mitnehmen. Daher versuche ich immer so gut es geht zu antworten. Leider habe ich auch schon negative Erfahrungen gemacht, dass Kommentare z.B. nur Beschimpfungen enthielten, aber das waren bisher zum Glück Ausnahmen. Es ist ein Hobby für mich, und ein Hobby soll vor allen Dingen eines tun: Freude bereiten. Mir und anderen. Ich selbst habe viel Freude am Filmen und am Erstellen von Videos, und wenn ich mit einem Video auch nur einem einzigen anderen Menschen ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubern kann, dann hat sich der ganze Aufwand doch schon gelohnt. 😊😊😊 In diesem Sinne, liebe Grüße und einen guten Start in die neue Woche. 🍀

Das Bahnhofsviertel z.B. ist sehr sehr schön mit alten und modernen Häusern und vielen Restaurants und sauberen Straßen. Es ist jedoch für viele nicht besonders attraktiv, weil sich da leider die Puffs breit gemacht haben und es sehr kriminell ist.

@Oketoke: Danke für Deinen Kommentar. Ich finde auch, dass es im Bahnhofsviertel viele schöne alte und auch neue Gebäude gibt. Leider gibt es aber auch die von Dir angesprochenen Probleme. Das Thema ist gerade wieder sehr aktuell, weil u.a. berichtet wird, dass sich die Situation durch Corona verschärft hat. Einige Berichte können hier nachgelesen werden: www.faz.net/aktuell/rhein-main/thema/bahnhofsviertel Ich hoffe, dass es der Stadt gelingt, ein sinnvolles Konzept zu entwickeln und dann auch umzusetzen.

Eintracht Frankfurt hat diese Stadt wieder groß und bekannt gemacht! Der Stolz dieser Bankenmetropole bleibt die Eintracht! Ein richtig schönes Video zu einer naja durchschnittlichen Stadt. Ohne die Altstadt wäre Frankfurt nix, aber Sie haben es geshafft, diese Stadt wunderschön darzustellen:)

There should've been clips of legendary Sachsenhausen at night with all the shisha bars, bachelorette's parties, Kneipen etc that's how I remember Frankfurt :)

Fun Fact: When West Germany was founded after the war in 1949, Frankfurt was the favourite to become the capital of the new, democratic state. Hardly anyone doubted that Frankfurt could lose out to the provincial cities of Bonn and Kassel, which were also in the running. Work even began on buildings for the new parliament and government; the building that later became the Festhalle was to be home to the Bundestag. But things turned out differently; the influential politician and later first Federal Chancellor Konrad Adenauer campaigned for Bonn in the Rhineland. In the end, Bonn became the capital and Konrad Adenauer was elected Chancellor, coincidentally his family residence was only about 20 kilometres away from the new seat of government!

Lived there for 1 yr in 74. I remember the skyline vividly. The old with the modern. Lived in Geleitstrasse very close to Henninger Tower. We stayed in Arabella hotel for a week. Wonderful city. Thy had a great flea market along river Maine. Loved it even if I was a kid
