Hi! We are Helen and Tim. We are adventure travelers that have been on the road full-time since Jan. 2023. We are based in Portland, Oregon, and have been together for over 10+ years and share a love for the great outdoors through hiking, camping, skiing, and more! We grew up in Dallas, Texas (Helen) & DuBois, Pennsylvania (Tim).
Our goal is to hike the world one mountain at a time. We love to inspire people to get outdoors no matter if the adventure is big or small. Post-hike, we enjoy the local flavors and foods, and a cold drink (beer for Tim and kombucha for Helen).
There is so much in the world to see, even if it is in our own backyards. We started filming our adventures in the Pacific Northwest and that has evolved into filming our international travels.

Pompeii is a truly fascinating place and incredible to see in person. The Vesuvius hike though crowded, itself just tied it all together and really shows the sheer power of the place. We did both on the same day on our school trip and since we had multiple very good teachers with us they brought us to parts of pompeii that were significant and important to our studies and Vesuvius was very cool! I loved the views and the amount of pictures I took were insane

@@HelenandTimTravel Sorry, i have just another question. I did not get an ticket on 14 may this year or did i do something wrong? Are the tickets for the versuvius sold out one month before or are there any ways to get an ticket for 14th may?? I have entered some kind of lottery for the 14th for last minute tickets?? Thank you for your video. It's helping me prepare for my trip there. I have one question? How hard did you find the climb up Vesuvius. What level of fitness do you think is necessary?

Great to hear this video is helping with your planning. The hike up was rated moderate, but we did feel like it was easy for the most part. Wide, a bit rocky, and definitely recommend a high ankle hiking boot for support. Definitely all up hill but not very long. Took us about 30 to 45 min with stops along the way to hike up to the rim and also around the top. Took about 20 min to hike down. I think as long as you’re ok with walking stairs for 30 minutes…felt like being on a stairmaster 😆 Bring a hat and water! They sell water but it’s overly priced on the mountain.
