I'm pretty sure that Harry & Louis let Niall in on the plan to hit Liam's balls. You can tell they were talking about it & planning it, if you watch closely. Niall even imitates Harry's high note before counting down on his fingers. But it could also be indicating the cymbal crash & hitting Liam's balls simultaneously.
