I was just rewatching your second Louis video when I got the notification, loved it! It’s funny because Liam was actually named ‘Daddy Direction’ by the band & the fans because he was the most responsible, but as Louis said, they corrupted him a bit. When you said that everyone seems to pay attention to Harry, it made me laugh because although that is pretty true, there are a few times in an interview where Harry is ignored a bit & he keeps trying to say something but the boys & interviewer are really engaged. I love the boys dynamics & you analyzed them pretty well.

Please watch “Harry Styles King of Entertaining the Crowd.” There are several parts, any of them are amazing. Harry really comes alive on stage and interacts with the crowd a lot!

Your reaction and analysis was pretty accurate! just that instead of zayn, liam was the dad of the group :p but you can clearly see how all of their distinctive personalities contributed something significant to the band, something that made them feel genuine, responsible and funny to us! zayn actually rarely performs live shows anymore, due to social anxiety. this was a large part of why he left the band, the pressure and the spotlight really took a toll on him.

Great reaction! Louis’ personality attracts me the most as well. I’m just always watching him to see what he’s up to next, lol. He’s always doing something to make interviews less boring and repetitive. Remember that at that time of their lives they were so busy, always doing interviews and working, so some questions and stuff gets so repetitive. You always need someone like Louis to lift the mood and make it memorable in a way, if that makes sense. And the boys, even Zayn, always crack a smile whenever he says something so I guess it works hahaha! Yes! I love how comfortable they are with each other. It’s just so fun and chill.

Louis was the always a person you can freely talk to. He is the most fun. He was the one who usually made zayn more comfortable. Louis with liam he is just chaotic , with niall & harry is a caring brother. I personally look up to Louis & Zayn when it comes to One Direction.

Okay so when the group was initially formed, Liam used to be the mature serious one,so he was called the dad of the group. Louis has always been the goof ball. Liam and Louis never got along because of this contrast personalities. But eventually louis and liam got in terms and Louis corrupted him. If you watch the interviews from around 2010-2011 you will be surprised because Zayn used to be a lot more fun and talkative. Over the years he became quieter. The reason why louis was trying to get Zayn into the goofyness was because Zayn actually has a fun side and Louis brings it out. Zayn and Louis is the duo who causes all the trouble behind the scenes. Liam became more of a carefree fun guy by 2013 and joined louis and Zayn in their adventures. By 2015 Liam became the most carefree fun guy out of the 5. Harry and Niall is the other duo. They are not troublemakers like the rest but are just super weird and funny. Niall was a literal 5-yr old. Everyone had a protectiveness about him.

Fun fact (not really fun) - They were heavily branded by their management. So they were not exactly themselves, they were mainly playing a role given by their management. They even talked about this issue after the hiatus, specially Liam and Zayn talked about it in their interviews

i feel like niall dint feel the need to speak unless asked or had something he really wanted to say. he's always been a quiet guy and just enjoying what's going on and really like living in the moment and just being very carefree. he's always been comfortable and confident but when he's solo now he's had to really show that side of his whereas he dint feel the need to earlier cause there were 4 other guys to lean on and he could chill.

Yeah, it’s mostly Harry and Liam answering the questions and Louis changing the subject by being Louis hahaha. I actually love it whenever Louis answers questions, it’s very insightful and he’s got a way with words, he’s very smart and knowledgeable. But the thing is, most of these questions they’ve already answered before, in other interviews, so Louis doesn’t bother with them anymore. He lets the other boys take the lead on answering those while he attracts the attention by being himself and lifting the mood. It’s not exactly fun for us if they’re just answering questions we’ve already heard the answer to before, lol, so it’s always entertaining whenever Louis is doing something chaotic or making the boys smile/try to hold in their laughter some way or the other. It’s just Louis! He’s charismatic in his own way. The type of person who’d do absolutely anything to make you/the boys smile even if it means making a fool of himself.

Considering how overworked and mistreated they were, it's good that they had each other's backs, and I'm glad you noticed how comfortable they are with each other. They spent almost every minute of every day together for 5 years, so as they said themselves, they became family.

It would be cool to see you analyze the 1D boys live in concert. The ultimate presentation for their fans. This is where they shine. They really show how much they appreciate their fans and how humble they are. They always stop to engage with their fans, talk and interact with them. Also, just a side note...it cool to see the 1D fans mass organize tributes to the boys during the concerts. 1D fans are like no other!

When you watch more 1d videos you'll see that Louis is like the leader of the band. They don't really have a leader but it's just that Louis was the one who kind of kept 1d together. He's close to all of them and he's also the Joker of the band. He makes everyone laugh. And in 'This is us' Niall said that if it wasn't for Louis, they would be the most boring band ever.

I think they don’t seem comfortable because their management assigned them a role to play. They gave each boy a fake personality to be more appealing to fans. Liam: Dad Harry: Flirt Zayn: mysterious Louis: class clown Niall: easygoing/shy

if you watch some other interviews or just random videos of them you'll see that the actual leader was louis even though he wasn't serious like liam or the one that speaks the most like harry, the other boys were always describing louis as the one vital member of the band, the one who took most care of the business stuff, the one they'd reach out if they're not in a good mood. But it's ok if you don't know that cause obviously a big part of the fandom isn't aware of these things, i suggest you to watch more videos about louis!! i'm not a big stan of the other boys (as solo artists) but i still like some of them and think this reaction was great and accurate ♡♡

Its just the thing bout Zayn is that he was very interactive in the early interviews and ofc it can be seen that he loves the boys and doesnt have a problem with the group or the dynamics. We all know why he is not interactive in the 2014 interviews for FOUR cus ofc he started getting all depressed and cut off from everyone so i dont blame him for not talking much in these interviews. I mean he can't just force out happiness and engagement you know if he's not feeling it at that moment. Nonetheless, Zayn is a really cool guy, its just his anxiety gets to him better which affects his performances other than that he's an anazing person who, I'm sure, everybody would love to get along with.

The thing with Harry is that he was usually the most considerate one, and as such oftentimes he was the only one actually listening to the interviewer and answering the questions properly. The other boys usually distracted playing with each other or weren't very interested, so when Harry spoke he was the one in the group that was actually doing the work. The other boys would sometimes continue to talk over him, and sometimes let him speak so the question would be answered

I'd say your analysis was pretty accurate! Although, Liam was known for being the most serious, responsible and mature one, he was always close to Louis, who was known for being sassy, goofy and playful and I really admire their dynamic.

Your confirmation bias towards Harry was very obvious lol nothing against you I promise, it gets the best of us. it was just funny seeing you cherrypick information that validated your pre-existing views about him before watching, and ignoring information that contradicted those views, and really reaching to maintain your conclusion about him being leader that you already decided around the first few minutes without waiting to see the progression of the interview

Another suggestion would be more Louis interviews, just because I love Louis’ personality and he’s my fav sooooo. And it’d be better and more interesting I guess if in whichever interview you choose there’s an interviewer (+crowd would be even better) present, not just him talking to a camera cause Louis is a people’s person and loves interacting with others. Subscribed with the hope of more Louis Tomlinson reaction. Your first analysis about Louis was correct actually, he is a shy person. His personality is what drew people in to the band from the very beginning and he has been described as the "natural leader" of the band by the other boys and peers. There are so many instances during the band where the other boys, especially harry, would be making fun of the interviewer and louis is the one who apologizes for the behaviour and engages with the interviewers to make them comfortable. Louis is charming, definitely commands a presence and has a sense of humour without being obnoxious about it. These two interviews don't really do him justice because this was the time when Harry was heavily pushed as the "one" down everyone's throat and even harry would draw the attention to himself by saying things for shock value to get a reaction. Even then, louis naturally shines. Louis has also talked about how he was given the role to crack the jokes and make the atmosphere light during interviews in the band, so thats what you see him doing here. If you look into more interviews of them as a group, you'll see how each one of them actually looks up to louis. He just has that something about him.

Please react to their video diaries from the x-factor, they are not scripted or with any team around them, it's just them on a staircase. Louis "leader"-role is pretty obvious in those. Harry was shyer in the start and became more comfortable as time went by. But Louis was the obvious leader at least in the early days.

Tbh when you know them better, none of the boys seem really confident to me. That's what I like about them, it doesn't seem like they're pretending to be someone they're not just bc they're famous. Harry said during a 1d interview (in 2014 or 2015 im not sure) that they still have insecurities like any other teenage boys ; which is funny bc I often see people saying rhat they'd like to have Harry's confidence bc, now more than ever, he's being himself, but tbh I really dont think Harry's that confident (just like the other boys, that have shared their insecurities in the past). I always liked that he said that bc people tend to forget that they were really young, even if they didn't really have time to be young.

if you watch more videos you'll see that louis was actually always the leader and they always would look at him to set the tone of the interviews, even the boys have said that about him (being the leader) in the past, partly because he was the oldest and partly because he was protective of them, outspoken and took initiative (to change their sound and stand up for the others against label execs behind the scenes). you're right about louis being the one who lightens it up and makes them comfortable to be more open, like how he was making sure zayn felt included at the end there. love that he's your favourite :) also, at 7:28 louis whispers to liam and niall to put more mics in harry's face as a joke which is why zayn was smiling, because he thought the mic thing was funny, not because he has "an admiration or respect for harry" hahaha

That's why these guys are my favorite, they are just genuine humble guys who have a really strong connection with eachother. On the early days liam and louis didn't had this connection. They have said in many interviews that they kinda hated eachother but eventually they became the closest. Zayn and louis was soo crazy and liam was the responsible one. Niall and harry was the babies. Everyone has a great connection with louis. Without him 1d would be kinda boring. If you watch their video diaries you'll understand. And that's why louis is my favorite one of the group. Happy to hear that he is your favorite too. I hope you'll do more 1d.
