It's rough out there. I honestly feel the ranked system itself doesn't help. It encourages players to 'guard' their rank because the system is so flawed. Whenever I'm fighting someone lower rank than me I honestly can't fault them for leaving because, win or lose, my rank won't move as much either way. Theirs will, and that just feels so wrong. I genuinely feel kind of gross when the game gives me someone two ranks lower about to demote, and I 2-0 them, knowing that they've just lost maximum points for losing. Don't get me wrong, the best mindset is to ignore rank, fight to your best ability at all times, and let the cream rise to the top. But god damn this system feels like it's designed to be AGAINST that mindset. That said, if people 2+ or more rank above you 1 'n done, that's just pure cowardice right there.
Agreed, the system definately doesnt help or encourages the best 2 out of 3. If you watch PhiDX's video on the explanation of the points gain system, the math tells us that we need to go on streaks in order to climb (especially in the higher ranks). If you go even, your rank will slowly fall. Therefore we should not rematch anyone that we feel can beat us in the following match.
Just reached bushin today with Yoshimitsu. Every single person i play ones and dones, so I've learnt not to care much about it. What really gets me going though are the 1-1ers. No respect whatsoever for guys who do that.
I just picked up yoshi about 2 days now just started with ranked. Thanks for preparing me for the 1 and dones. It might not happen 2 me though because i play alot of "small tekken" i think good players find it fun to play me. Bad players quit fast tho because they often get punished for their mistakes and dunno which buttons to press
seriously i don't get the Yoshi hate dude. I bet people who bitch about Yoshi have never played this character. they should try him and see how much bullshit situations this character throws you in. (and devs don't really care enough about Yoshi to actually fix those issues)
As a yoshi main, the way you phrased this sounds like downplaying. Yoshi is ridiculously strong in this game. I think bitching about characters is not a good thing to do (unless it’s drsgunov or Alisa) because there’s a lot of counter play available but I’d say that ur issue is just a way of downplaying his strength based on ur own use of him
I can agree to an extent, but we have to understand that Yoshi has always been strong. Even in past games he was always strong. But that's the case in lower ranks. I can say the same for all characters as well, but Yoshi is a special kind of monster in the lower ranks. It's until you reach the mid-high ranks that Yoshi's kit has to be fully digested and shat out to do well with his kit. Which is also a detriment to the player as they need to figure the best routes to take during a situation. A lot of Yoshi's attacks can be played out in favor of the opponent if used incorrectly while the opposite can happen as well. Because of how free form Yoshi is, it's difficult to figure out how you'll like to play with him that fits your style, while in some cases a particular style may not work well in higher plays, it's why players struggle with him the most. It's why a more fundamental approach works best (at least from my experience). The issue is finding the balance to not play too fundamentally as Yoshi isn't a solid fundamental based character, so you are forced to take risks at times. I have more to say but the comment will be too long as is. Kind of want to make a video on it, though not sure how well it's going to be received in the community😅
@@delusional-lobo i think you're right. I'm just tryna blame something for my skill issue i guess lol. good insight. and go ahead make a video for it, I don't see any haters of this channel.
Only thing I need them to do is fix DF 1 going threw peoples legs If I see that sword sweep both of there legs clean through they better be getting hit by it
Idk but i stopped worrying about ranked I be getting my cheeks handed to me lol but I always run the set no matter what unless the person was tee bagging and stuff then I won’t run the set.
Hey, I want to get better at Tekken. Is there a really beginner friendly guide with Yoshimitsu? Like the basic things to get started. You have so many videos, I dont wanna search through all of them.
Why not🥺, look at all of them... nah I'm kidding, um I'll link you to an old beginner's guide that has everything you need to start out with. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wArp7koSj20.html
@@usernotavailable1658Dragonfly 2/4 must be performed without delay or else it will go for the punch and then the 4 will be performed like mid homing kick which can be a heat engager
I only hate one and dones when im fighting somone equal or stronger. I finally got to fujin and the amount of Kishins i fight, that beat me first round and i best them second they leave or if i win first, and they win second. They leave. I understand one dones dont matter, but, like if you deliberately do it, then your just weird. Then again, higher rank you go losing just means you gotta win 5x as much just to recover
Honestly man if the fight isn’t fun I’m not bout to put myself through another match of it. Win or Lose some matches just aren’t fun, and with how awful the rank system is if someone’s a much lower rank there’s no point cuz if you beat them you get like 200 points but they beat you you get lose like 500-800 points. Which is fine it would make sense you should be beating the lower ranked person but then the tekken power system is at play you’re fighting someone who’s a lower rank but at 300k + power level
@Sin-pt2eq I 💯 % understand it's the same feeling I have as well, but my dumb "honor the full set" etiquette is what drives me to the fire or a nice flower garden sort of speak.
