Its time to put the truck on the road and see how it drive after all the work. Stay tune to see if all works and everything clears. #dirtperfect #MBLS #Ltdan #customtruckbuild
Always feels good "when a plan comes together" as they say ,great job boys you're gaining and I still vote super singles an military's on the lift ! Thanks for the ride along test drive almost like I was driving he sounds good!!
Everything looking good on Lieutenant Dan I don't know if you noticed but you are going to have a hard time getting him out of the door with the outside mirrors I love the way you and Aaron work together on big videos stay safe
It drives straight, sounds good, and the heat works. What more can you ask for? It's like MBTS actually knows how to weld. Lol. Looking forward to the next update.
Awesome job on the build! I can’t decide if you two are like two kids with a new toy or a professional advertising company making a commercial! I know which one I’m leaning more towards. Lol
HA HA HA!!! 🤣 Thanks for including the part about turning on the heat, with the dust & smoke! I've done similar with the same results, & it's good to look back & laugh. He drives perfect, which proves you guys did an awesome job. Just reviewing videos I've missed & looking forward to when you can bring him back & finally finish.
That's cruel, making Aaron stretch all the way up there for a high five. 😂😂 Outtakes included in this video too. Happy days lol. Oh, and Mike... you need to stop calling Lt Dan 'She.' 😂😂
I'm impressed! The last comment from me was "are you going to be able to get it out of the shop?" Well, I'm sorry that I ever doubted you! You are one hell of a backer!!!! The truck looks great!
Lt DAN is lookin Good !! was really watching the carrier bearing mount couldn't see any twist unless it moves when He gets a load on, you guys are fabbing up a "Working Mosheen" !!
That beast reminds me of the first 18 wheeler I drove back in the seventies. It was an Autocar, I think early 60s model, 290 Cummings Turbo, 10 speed road ranger, pulling a 6500 gal. Tank trailer. She was a beast, long square nose, fenders like yours, and straight cab, no sleeper. Love the beast, Lt. Dan.
If there was one day when you really upped the filming and editing, then this was that day! Amazing the inspiration a man can get from playing with his toys! 👍😀
The excitement and joy of you going down the road in Lt Dan reminds me of a young Anakin Skywalker finally getting his speed racer going "She's running she's running " I bet that was a very fun ride can't wait to see the finished product
Lt.Dan looks good, awesome test drive!! Perhaps a headlight upgrade with mounts in front fenders, then use current light positions for fog or off road lights,,square tubing to match exhaust for front push bar, grill guard, and grab handles!!
Awesome truck. I grew up riding around with my grandfather in a dump truck and I always thought it would be cool to build something like that when I grew up.
Sounds good DP. Did hear some strange noises from the back end around the 13:00 mark as you climbed through the gears and then some high pitched sounds that could be a dry bearing singing. All the sneak peeks have really raised the anticipation of the future build videos.
I am looking forward to seeing how it scales a load and works off road. Military trucks like that are typically overbuilt to an extreme amount so it should be tough. Great project.
Really looking good. Should have got Aaron to have used a air hose to clean out the duct work for the heat. Can't wait for your next vidja. Take care and have a blessed weekend.
Hey Aaron, time to get back at Mike. Weld him up all those steps and handles he wants to get in the drivers side and then install a hydraulic lift on the passenger side to make it easier for you to get in and out.
Looks good , maybe one suggestion , plate steel gussets from box tubing to drive line support bearing mount . Just a suggestion from an old man fabricator / welder. Love the look and design . Thanks for the great videos stay safe
The Mad Max dump truck comes alive you took the words right out of my mouth I was going to say put some handles on that exhaust with a heat shield that's scary thinking too much alike😬 Here's a thought you was talkin about noise but some of that noise mat you put in floorboards might take care of that just a thought🙉 yeah some big lights on that thing that look good another thought the kind they put on those new tractors you know how bright they are . I know you had that set up at least you found him anyway👍 by the way I'll try not to give no more opinions it's looking good can't wait to see it get done then I'm going to try to give an opinion which I know you don't care or not but anyway can't wait to see it finished when you get the lights on the bed and get it all done I can imagine what it's going to look like have a blessed day God bless good video🙏👍 PS wait till you put the bed on it then give it a test then you will know when you get some weight on it have a good day
Did you ever consider removing the wheels on the rear most axle or both and use the drop axle to maneuver in the shop? Lt Dan will turn on a dime with a short wheel base. A 6x6 block under the drop axle will be a power jack for the rear axles. It would be easy to get in and out of the shop while you finish the Lt. Looking good.
I’m thinking you could probably retrofit some accordian style RV steps onto the passenger side to help MBTS gettin’ in & out of it. 🤣 You all are doing a great job on this build!
