@miniclip876 You cannot receive Sky through an aerial. The RF input on a satellite dish is for sending the satellite signal via RF to your TV as an alternative to SCART, S-Video or HDMI.

Hi i'm planning on buying an indoor aerial and it says "Up To 50 db Gain" What does that mean?

so if i connect this to my sky set top box (which isn't a sky hd box, just the standard version)via the coxial cable. Would i then be able to access, the free to air hd channels i.e. viewing sports matches on the bbc in hd via the red button? thanks

Mine arrived today. Doesn't work at all. It says the signal quality is around 40%. Only picks up 9 channels at best and they are completely unwatchable. Jumpy sound and little to no picture. Tried linking it with a booster with no improvement. Tried different cables and SCART leads. Tried moving it around but anywhere other than the window sill gets 0% signal. Any advice? I live near the centre of a city and before my outdoor aerial broke had perfect reception. I've also checked and am well within the recommended range of the nearest transmitter.

hi davo, ive been looking for a product like this for this for ages since we moved into a new build house with no aerial - and are simply using sky to pick up channels but we then have no tv upstairs. Does this box pick up freesat hd channels?

If you are in good reception area it should work well for you.

This video is 8 years ago. TV Aerial Outdoor or indoor) is just more or less a - TV Aerial! All you ever need is HD compatible set top box or Television to watch HD. If your freeview is broadcasting in UHF, change your VHF aerials. Don't get scammed by retailers or installers.

The thing is, you dont get any noise/interference with a digital signal, you either get it or you dont interference only effects analogue signals

No, this is for Freeview, not Sky. For Sky you need to connect to a satellite dish.

Not working

This didn't work for me at all... was completely useless and a waste of money in my area. I'm in the North West London area and I was expecting to at least get something... I don't know if they are doing work on the transponders but for the past week I have managed to pick up no channels whatsoever...

Doesn't work, expensive paperweight. Couldn't receive a single channel. My parents bought this for their television set, although it was a different model to this one, but same company ( this is in 2014) They will return it tomorrow, I just plugged the antenna fly lead into their tv from the wall and that worked fine, and that's with a banged up Ariel on the Roof that's falling down....lol. A $8 lead with a broken Ariel works fine, and this piece of kit can't even receive a single channel. Save your money.
