Check out the Managers Seat ► / @themanagersseat
FM Llama from the Managers Seat has joined me once again to compile the most extensive list of fun saves you have ever seen. I hope this serves as a guide for years to keep your Football Manager experience exciting. It certainly might be a guide for me to pick my saves in FM in the future.
This list includes every country that is in the base game of Football Manager. There are other countries you can play in but you have to download a database that was made by a mod person. These can be cool too, but if we made that list instead, this video would be two hours long, so I hope you’re ok with every country in Football Manager!
Much Love,
FM Senpai

Wisla Krakow story is even more interesting because the club was saved by fans buying clubs shares and by ex-Dortmund star Jakub Blaszczykowski firstly lending the club money, then playing for it for minimal national wage and eventually becoming its co-owner Our club was a menace in 00s (won the league 6 times), third oldest polish club (2nd oldest existing) We were the last team to beat Barcelona in 2008 CL season, they went all the way to win it I've been to the game where we were winning 3:2 against Barcelona at half time in 2001 (eventually lost 3:4) We've beat Inter Milan 1:0 (I still got this ticket at home) We drawn 1:1 and lost 2:1 to Parma the season they won UEFA cup and demolished them 4:1 few years after Wisla has great footballing history and it deserves to get back on winning tracks so if you're looking for a save in central europe, come help us get where we belong :)

I have an interesting one as well. Rovaniemen Palloseura. They played in the Veikkausliiga for almost the entire 2010s even managing a second position back in the mid-2010s, but were relegated to Finnish second division a few years ago due to financial problems. And when I mean they were relegated to second division, I mean that they dropped straight from Veikkausliiga to second division because they didn't have enough money to play in the first division. Bringing them back up to the top level and then topping their all-time best finish of second place by winning the Finnish championship would be another interesting project

Quick reminder, It wasn't because of FC Porto (not Porto FC) that Salgueiros seized to exist. The city of Porto has 2 big clubs Boavista being also one of them, and they all coexist without any issue but are still city rivals. However Salgueiros has something that no other club in Portugal has. It said that the club was founded by two friends from the same area (Paranhos) that were actually rivals (one being from Porto the other from Benfica), that were sick of being rivals after watching a match together between Porto and subsequently Benfica. Salgueiros is actually a simbol of unity and friendship that gave the area of Paranhos something to be proud of.

I actually love Salgueiros, my highschool was really close to the old stadium. The club suffered a lot from financial problems, they got relegated and eventually they had to fund a new club, Salgueiros 08. The old stadium, Engenheiro Vidal Pinheiro, was sold to the city and yes, they used the land for a subway station, although you can still see the goalies and the old stand. They are also my current FM23 save, back to primeira liga, trying to steal unused players from the big 4 :D

@@Greivon1992 Completely true and quite sad they sold it to MdP. My best save ever in this kind of games (I play it since CM 97/98) was with Salgueiros 8 years going from campeonato de Portugal back to the PL. Before we had a new stadium we played funny enough 2 years (after we left Campanhã) in Infesta (Liga 3)and if I remember correctly Gondomar (2ª liga). After 1 year in PL we had a new stadium of 15 thousand people back in Porto. Also my best scorer was Vasco Paciência, following his father's footsteps. Enjoy the save like I did and steal all you can from the big 4/5. 💪

Actually, Vancouver FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps can face off in one domestic competition, at least for now: the Canadian Championship, a national cup that involves all of the CPL teams, the three Canada-based MLS teams (Montréal, Vancouver and Toronto) and a few teams from the Canadian semi-pro regional leagues!
@philipmcniel4908
@philipmcniel4908 11 месяцев назад
...Which also means that they could *not* meet in the CONCACAF Champions League, since only the winner of the Voyageurs Cup qualified for the CCL, and that was Canada's only berth. Apparently this is ALL changing next year to coincide with the competition's name being changed to the CONCACAF Champions Cup: Now, the top two teams in the Canadian Premier League will receive berths _and_ Canadian teams will for the first time be eligible to qualify via MLS. Also, Canadian teams will be eligible to participate in the Leagues Cup, which awards CCC berths to the top two clubs, meaning that the Canadian MLS teams now have three ways to qualify for continental competition, and the CPL teams have two.

When it comes to Serbia i would like to mention several other clubs that could be fun: Vojvodina - a club with good historical success that never managed to assert itself over the big two. Help them become the first club outside the top two to win the Super League and/or qualify for a european competition. Radnicki Nis - biggest club in southern Serbia with a similar fate as Vojvodina though had even less success. Make them a regional powerhouse and help them win the league. Rad - a club with fierce fans that is down on its luck. This season they dropped out of the Serbian First league (second tier) but you can help them get back among the elite. Cukaricki - a very well run club with a small fan base. Among the best clubs in the country in the last 15 years with only one Cup trophy to show for. Help them rival the big two. Mladost Lucani - smaller club from a small town in central Serbia. Managed to stay in the super league for the past 9 years and was even the runner-up of the Serbian Cup several years ago. Use the power of the local Guca trumpets (the village of Guca is close to Lucani) to make Mladost a candidate for a trophy.

Hi. South African here. Former supporter of Kaizer Chiefs growing up (until my parents upgraded me in life and I started watching international football around 2004/05). Wanted to add a little context about the stadium Kaizer Chiefs, and a few other clubs, play in - the large capacity is a result of upgrades made when South Africa hosted the FIFA World Cup in 2010. Adrian, of the channel Rabona TV, made a video about Kaizer Chiefs and their rivalry with Orlando Pirates - the largest derby in the country. That ~90K stadium sells out whenever they play.

For Singapore, I recommend a build a nation save with the national team and Young Lions. (I'm not a Singaporean so some of these info might be wrong, feel free to correct me) Young Lions are a development team that have an age restriction on player signings, specifically under 23, so it is a great place to build Singapore's next golden generations, distribute those players to the SPL teams, and lead the Singapore national team to an Asian Cup title or even a World Cup. I'm not too sure if they can qualify for the AFC Champions League/AFC Cup or not (I think they can't, like Albirex Niigata), but the save has so much more things to do than just winning titles season after season with Albirex.

I've played with Young Lions before. It was a challenge but fun. I think they indeed can't play in the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup, but due to their 20 youth recruitment you can spread the talent to the other clubs as they keep producing golden generations. I think the age restriction also includes that players in your squad are not allowed to be older than 23 so you have to sell these players or they rot in the reserves. There are similar clubs in Myanmar (Junior Lions) and Brunei (Tabuan Muda) that have the same or similar restrictions and act as teams to develop young players. I really like the concept and hope it helps each country in growing a bit. The best player in my Young Lions save was a half-german that came through my first youth intake and was bought by Bochum later on. When I ended the save, I used an outside tool to check his stats and he had a PA of 124.

Pretty much no one in Sweden likes Östersund and a lot of people were glad they got relegated. I personally would recommend doing a youth save with Brommapojkarna since they have one of the best youth academies in Sweden. Most of our national team came from there. Or you could do Utsiktens BK who are leading the second division in real life for the first time ever. They’re a small club from Gothenburg and would have to rival some pretty big local clubs.

@Vince_Lasal
@Vince_Lasal 11 месяцев назад
@@yashtiwari1189 the embezzlement thing for one, but they’ve also been very shady with some of the deals they’ve made. A club that went as far as they did in the Europa league and sold players for as much as they did should not be on the verge of bankruptcy just a few years later. They’ve barely been able to afford their elite license. It’s just a shady club basically
@nummer3357
@nummer3357 11 месяцев назад
@@yashtiwari1189 Apart from Potter (who is respected by everyone here), that club is built on fraud. Their chairman did some tricky accounting and that is the foundation for their success sadly. Actually, the only reason they survived into the 2023 season is due to the fact that UEFA pays out a sum of money to each league that has participation in the Champions League the previous season. That sum is divided between the clubs who participated in the league that same season (in this case in 2021). That payment reached them just in time to avoid bankrupcy half a year ago. So they still exist because Malmö FF happened to play in CL in the last season Östersund played in Allsvenskan which is ridiculous and frustrating for everyone else. Good news is that their finances still suck and they probably will go bankrupt after this season instead.

It was a home game for Náutico, and they were doing better, but the match was tense, so tense Grêmio had 4 players red carded, Náutico had a single one. Náutico had a penalty during the first half and they hit the post. At the second half, another penalty for Náutico, and the keeper saved. A team that's glory days from the late 90s to early 2000s saw it become one of the most impressive club sides in Japan, culminating in an Asian Champions League. Alternatively, waiting until FM24 and forming a custom Jurmala team in the second tier.

My swedish recommendation would be IK Brage (currently playing in the 2nd highest div), They have the record for playing the most seasons in the 2nd highest division (56 seasons) and last time they competed in the highest division was in 1993. The most interesting part of this team is that they played in the Europa league twice and in of them they played against Inter Milan 1988-89 (notable players who played for this Inter team: Lothar Matthäus, Baresi, Brehme and Zenga) Brage only lost 2-1 both games. Since the 2000s they have played in the second, third and fourth tier of Swedish football and almost went bankrupt in 2014

Another great saves for Croatia are in our second division with few fallen clubs including: Hrvatski Dragovoljac (previously constant first league team which in 90's even played in Intertoto Cup and has fallen lately, they will start 23/24 season in 3rd division, they are my current save for summer time) and Cibalia (which got back to second tier after falling to bankruptcy and starting from scratch in third division, they even played in Europa League in 09/10 season after they finished third season prior). Another great save idea is current team which was this season in Cup final - Šibenik, and they are relegated to second tier IRL. In FM23 they are still in first tier, so try to keep them in league with getting to cup finals as IRL if possible (aka get match HNK Hajduk vs HNK Šibenik in cup finals) P.s.: in current Dragovoljac Save that I'm playing (at least kept them in 2nd division not like IRL) have weird coincidence, or even not - IRL first match day of season 23/24 and in-game 23/24 are totally same o.O Not joking, have screenshots at least for one match which will happen on almost same date. Baník is best option in Czech Republic, by far the best fans in the country (their away days are always fun and they come in massive numbers even on other side of the country), one of the best academies - which gave the world Milan Baroš, Marek Jankulovski or even for short period of time Vladimír Coufal - and generally speaking Baník is pride of Silesia (one of the regions here) ... they play at borrowed stadium in other side of city (which is Moravian) for some time now, so one of the objectives by board is new stadium in Silesian part of the city (their old stadium, Bazaly, is now their training centre) and of course to play in upper floors of league table :)

Don't forget to mention that Puerto Madryn is not just in Patagonia, but Welsh Patagonia (or to give it its proper name, Y Wladfa). Some Welshmen started a settlement in Argentina to try to preserve the Welsh language, it didn't really work because there's not many Welsh speakers left in Argentina (estimates are 1,500-5,000 people, which is something like 2-7% of its 70,000 population) but it's an interesting nugget of information. The flag is quite cool. It may be interesting to attempt to return the region to its former Welsh-speaking origins and sign a lot of Welsh players.

It's an interesting group, and i suspect that people will think it will be a walkover to play againts us, but we would have drawn FCM in the first match (FCM is a top 3 club in Denmark) if not for a retarded VAR Ref, who also lost his job as a result. Great video! For Spain I always like the idea of playing Real Union. Basque club in the small town of Irun on the French border, and one of the four Basque founding clubs of La Liga in 1928. But they only spent four years in La Liga because by the time it was founded, that was after their peak. Before then, Real Union won three Copas del Rey... in 1918, 1924, and 1927. And the last one, 1927, was the first all-Basque final of a Copa del Rey with a decisive winner (two previous all-Basque finals, in 1910 and 1913, were part of Copas that had two finals and two winners) and the only one until the 2019-20 season. Now, Real Union has slipped far and have sat in the lower leagues for decades, with their only recent spots of any success being their shock victory over Real Madrid in the round of 32 in the 2008-09 Copa del Rey and reaching the Segunda Division for one season in 2009-10. Returning Real Union to their glory days after a century would be neat.

I am actually doing Hartlepool but in FIFA lol, I had no idea Reynolds considered them. Nice idea for Romania, I was expecting it to be us (FCSB/Steaua) again but that was actually creative. For an easier save there is also Rapid (take a resurgent phoenix Rapid after bankruptcy and lead them to their first title since 2003 in front of their passionate fans on their new stadium, shaking off the other 4 teams that have been vying for the title this season. Also, they were founded in 1923 originally so you d be taking charge of them in their centennial year of existence). Petrolul could also be fun in their first year back up but they don’t have the city rivalry aspect (their city rival used to be Astra Ploiesti, they were moved to Giurgiu and became the Astra Giurgiu of haunting West Ham fans fame before going all the way to the third tier and bankrupt this season) or FC Arges (two time champions and Dobrin s old team, if you want a bit of reading up on another Romanian legend that Real Madrid wanted to sign). In the second tier if you can go that deep you also have Dinamo (the fact that they are still alive is actually a miracle, they aren’t even allowed to sign players as of now with their new insolvency plan pending approval) and Otelul Galati (remember them in the UCL? They got 0 points but still) that were promoted irl and the two Timisoara clubs (Ripensia and Poli, both relegated irl). Hell, if you like torturing yourself you could even do CSA Steaua, the other club resulted from the Steaua identity fight as they aren’t legally allowed to promote into the first tier being owned by the army but they do play the cup like any other 2nd division team so you can do a winning the Cup-Conference League-Europa-CL no mistakes allowed save if you are really feeling hardcore.

The team have a lot of young prospects and one of the best defenders in the league, Bisseck plays for them, a player you can get a lot of money from. The history of the club is also interesting, it had the most succes in the 1950's. The club was the first team in Denmark to compete in the European tournaments. And the club is seen to be either a club you love or a club you hate by the fans in Denmark. Its is one of the most succesful clubs in Denmark. Jack Wilshere played for the club for one season. The club have had the nickname "the madhouse" from the fans, due to its tumultuous period in the 2000's, economy in ruins, bad leadership, and the achievement of being able to get from being in 1st place the first 9 matches and getting relegated in one season. The crownprince of Denmark is a fan of the club. And of course the stadium is named after a brand of beer. On the other hand there is also Aarhus Fremad which is the second largest club in Aarhus, it might be a fun challenge to dethrone AGF to be the best team in the second largest city of Denmark and challenge the other teams FC Copenhagen, Brondby and FC Midtjylland. This team is in the third division.
