A very informative video. Thanks... Veterinary schools classifies snails as vectors of diseases not as food to the reared and devoured, hence the vet doctor will not know much about snail diseases. Thanks for the heads up, we have to start changing our curriculum and perstective about snails.

Snail rearing is an interesting enterprise. The set up here looks too elaborate for this to break even in 2 years....you don't even start to generate any revenue till 18 months....but you gotta spend all day everyday till that point... Hmmn! Then when you've sold them off, you rinse and repeat....wait another 2 years.... Mbanu ooo...

Yes, the inital startup cost is high. But the maintenance costs aren't. It doesn't take much time to maintain the farm. In my opinion, catfish farming has comparable startup costs but you can harvest every 3 months.

@@kesteramos base on one of your videos sir u said one should not fill all the pens with snails, because when they start laying there won't be space to stock their baby snails. So what percentage of the pens should be used and how many snails should be in one pen. Thanks in anticipation

@@charlesolamilekanjames8193 He said build 100 pens, use 25 pens for point of lay. 40 snails in each 25 x 40 = 1,000 Use 2 pens as egg incubators. I hope this helps...
