UPDATE: A ton of comments mentioning why I didn't talk about *fogging issue* on the camera lens, that's because I personally never had the issue despite blasting it with the car AC and taking it out on a humid weather. I think if it's a QC issue then the warranty should cover it for you, or you can use silica gels to really dry them out (I've seen a comment where this completely fixes the issue), for now I'll keep the comment updated in case my friend got the camera fogging issue! Had to work on Xiaomi 14 first since I needed to give it back to my friend! Up next week will be the POCO X6 Pro and then we'll get back to the already-piling earbuds I have to review 😆
Hello there, I've been caught up with the fogging issues lately here as the weather has changed to rains. Now it's a mess, whenever i plan to go out to get some good clips it starts this damn issue! I had tried heating up with 8k video for hours and 3d mark stress test for hours and after everything, if i go out to test the fogging comes again! Now I don't know what to do!
You guys are experiencing fog with car ac I can't take video not more than 2 min in 4k 60fps Outdoors 😢... Funny thing Is i took the phone to mall where i brought and took some clicks and take videos Here the camera is not fogging 😂 STRANGE ..... Same Also if you are sitting and taking video inside a car parked for too long outside .
I have a Xiaomi 14 ULTRA (yet 1 month old) , the only problem with the camera is that when taking a shot of a subject that has dark skin tone in day time ( strong light condition ) the device changes the image which i saw in the preview 😢. Doesn't happen all the time but I still prefer Xiaomi mi 10 5G when taking shots at extreme light conditions and pictures to zoom( this may be as a result of use of 108MP camera system for 2 years 😊 ). But, I can still take a extremely good photo in above conditions in pro mode ( and I still prefer pro mode in all conditions ) , but it takes time to make right settings 😅 .
I had the same issue too. Took pictures near an AC and the camera fogged. All I had to do is remove the sim tray and do 8k video and stress test til it heats up. All okay now. But still they should have looked up to this as camera is one of the main reasons why people try on this phone. They could have done better.
I just wanted to share during my use in a tropical weather (and lots of AC pointed straight at the phone for maps when driving) I've never had the fogging issue
@@namedkenn good for you but I think they still need to address it. Its a widespread issue. 7 people I personally know experience fogging on their cameras
Manufacturing process and quality tests in 2024 of an "IP68" phone..... Camera lenses fogging due to condensation...WTF....a flagship phone that too....
I am using my Poco F3 to play genshin and I use the maxed out settings and i get about 40 to 55 FPS and it won't even stutter I don't even use a phone cooler and my friends say it is impressive I am not planning on upgrading my phone but recently it recieved it's last update and now I think I should put my phone to rest and upgrade should I upgrade to Poco X6 pro or redmi turbo 3 ? 😅
I love your review of the Xiaomi 14 ken , its a almost like deep dive into the software and specs and im currently using the mi 11 and i am waiting to upgrade this 4 year old phone. Maybe to the 13 or the 14 or ill wait for the mi 15 if it looks well to me.
Thanks for watching! 😁 Really I feel like this time around almost every aspect of the phone is amazing, but if you can still hold out then why not right haha
I didn't talk about it since it didn't happen to me, nor my friend complain about it after I gave it back to him, will keep the comments section updated in case any issue arises
great video, have been waiting for years to upgrade from my P30 P30. One question on the Xiaomi 14, does it have easy bootloader unlocks which will then support custom ROMS?
Very good video , but Xiaomi has big issues with xiaomi 14 series, nobody writes about it, its problem with cameras, in slightly colder weather, the camera becomes foggy, many users have this problem and feel cheated, xiaomi said that this is a normal phenomenon, however, this is not true.
Regarding extra dim mode, xiaomi has a hidden setting for it which u can access via activity launcher, no need for 3rd party apps. Both work on my rn9s and mi 11 which dont have this setting visible in the menu. once u activate it from the activity launcher, you can make a shortcut or add it to the control centre. Really helpful!
@@patrickgrunwald8597 I ended up getting Samsung S23 Ultra. 0 regrets. Tried out Xiaomi 14 at the store and it was trying to be an iPhone. I hated it. Huge letdown. Samsung FTW
Hello did you experience lens fogging issues? I live in a tropical country as well but I replicated the issue by taking a 4k/8k video 60/24fps in front of a car AC and room AC. After 2-3 minutes, the lens started to fog. The issue does not occur when camera is not in use, only when you're taking a video it in front of an AC. Let me know if you can replicate it as well.
Selqmat pagi, kenneth. One of the earpiece from my edifier tws1 pro bought in 2021 based on your awesome reccomendation finaly gave up and suddenly didnt produce any sound, Kenneth... For 2024 what do yout think the best in ear Tws with the same price as Edifier TwS1 pro (back in 2021 its around $40-50) . Did your 2023 reccomendation still applied? Thanks in advance, kenneth
use it for almost a month, never use boost charging because the phone last for more than a day which is crazy, I always have 30% left in the next morning so it's not that long to charge it from 30-100.
@aditya_on_youtube These are all amazing phones. Go with the one that gives better software experience and updates and the software you like visually. For me tbh, I think this phone is better than One Plus 12, especiallyin the camera department. However, the One Plus 12 has the best battery experience and cooling system in literally any phone rn.
@@mohamedrafik9271 Thank you! That is reassuring! Yes, I'm considering Xiaomi 14 primarily for its camera. I like the look of the Leica tuned photos compared to OnePlus 12. Battery is important to me but if Xiaomi 14 gives a good enough full day battery, then I'm happy.
Does anyone have problems with camera fogging (going from warm to cold or vice versa) ? I'm also interested in the battery life (if someone uses 2 SIM cards, a little playing games, a little photography, using it for surfing the Internet and social networks / applications, while the mobile Internet is turned on non-stop) ?
My use case involves blasting the phone on my car AC and taking it out to an immediately humid and hot tropical weather and no issue for that (thus why I didn't mention it) but would be interesting to see others And for battery life your use case will get you 1 day no problem
@@namedkenn I see that some are talking about this fogging, some have experienced it, some have not. I think that even if that is true it is a case problem that is not properly sealed. I am happy about your statement that my phone will last for 1 day :-)
@@namedkenn I am from Serbia and many of my compatriots complain about the problem with camera fogging. Now, do we get phones with worse material, I don't know...
Personal preference at this point but one thing that irks me is samsung phones are very sharp on the edges, not comfortable to hold unless you use cases ofc
Hi im currently using xaomi 14 since 2 months. My hand hurts holding this phone one handed even for just 5 minutes, its very head heavy and uncomfortable size. Beware, im afraid of getting permanent hand damage if i continue using this phonr longer Have you had this experience? Any sdvice? Im avoiding pop sockets as i use accessories to film
Hi Ken I respect your opinion, so please help me decide based purely on sound quality: Moondrop space travel or Fiil T2 Pro Which would you pick if both options were free? THANK YOU SO MUCH
Hi @@namedkenn, can you try record video in 4k 60fps, is the foggy shown? Based on the other experience, sometimes the fog show when recording start 3 minutes above
@@doniyen1210 put your phone in a box, remove your sim tray, and place a silica gel on top of the camera overnight. That permanently fixed the issue for me. Fogging happens when there is a sudden change in temperature. Maybe air was trapped inside the lens during assembly which condenses
@@doniyen1210 for me nothing happened and just like the other comment said, as long as you don't expose it to sudden temperature change you should be fine (even though I do have it blasted with AC in the car)
