I suggest yall watch some video essays breaking down ragnaroks story. Its REALLY deep and welldone. The character/concept breakdowns in this game makes it rival 2018 for me if not even better. The downfall, in my opinion was it trying to be too ambitious. while it did nasterfully juggle concepts the last battle was rushed. I guarantee majority of players were holding their breath up until the ending then had the "thats it? I feel empty" mentality because thats EXACTLY where i was. Disappointed from both gameplay and story After truly analysing the story, character developments and narrative i changed my mind. It was a beautifully done story that was hindered by the rushed ending (aka the payoff not being properly established)

The reason why they didn’t made a trilogy is because the developer didn’t want to work on the Norse trilogy for 15 years and it was Cory barlog’s decision

The good old days of pre-Ragnarok was a nice ride, but then... 🤷‍♂️😂 Obviously I don't speak for everyone, but I hope that the next chapter or this dlc/spin-off can revive the enthusiasm of those it didn't go down well. P.S it has nothing to do with it but if you haven't done it yet I recommend you start the new spiderman, even on your own or together with Konahiri (shoutout to her for the editing btw) even if you're not a fan you might like it imo

Hey kuba you should make a theory on what caused the desolation in gow4. They only hinted to it in one dialogue where kratos tells Atreus not to talk about it. They must’ve forgot to explain it in ragnarok because it’s never mentioned again.

I was wondering if you could explain Fimbulwinter a bit. Obviously all that we know from it, is an event that happened after Baldur's death. Breaking magic, mortals, and gods alike. The consequences of killing a god is extremely different. While each of the Greek Gods died, their inherent power over each aspect/element of the universe became undone, wreaking havoc and chaos upon the planet. Magni and Modi's death did nothing. Minor aesir, but whatever. Atreus' anger and near death experience caused Midgard to shudder and falter. Freya's near death caused nothing. Thor and Odin beating Tyr into submission caused nothing. Even in Ragnarok, Heimdall's death did nothing. Thor and Odin's death, we did not see anything changing within the other realms or Asgard... except one thing: The Curse of Fimbulwinter is over and the realms start to prosper again with Asgard shattering. I have this sneaking suspicion that I may believe a little, that Odin put a spell of some kind on Baldur after Freya gave him the invulnerability curse. A spell that started soaking up magical energy and feeding it to Asgard and Valhalla. I'm not sure if Einherjar are supposed to have physical forms since they just die on the battlefield and their corpses lay there, but are reborn anew with new bodies in Valhalla- but I believe if their bodies lie dead where they are, the energy which Fimbulwinter takes from all the other realms feed Valhalla, making new bodies and corporeal subjects loyal to Odin. Maybe that's why Thor beat Kratos, is because Kratos had been weakened; subject to endure Fimbulwinter while Thor and the other Asgardians fed off it unwittingly. Why Kratos got stronger after he made a new home in Sindri's house, The Realm Between Realms, safe from Fimbulwinter's effects. If I could have a hand talking to me about this to clear things up, that would be nice.

in my opinion, it may be Atreus from the future, another hint that this is his face, it may also be the symbolism of the colors red and gold on the frame of the painting, which looks like the head of a Spartan spear, buc, maybe I'm adding too much, but we have a mixture of Nordic and Spartan images here, so maybe Translating into the fact that it is a future Atreus

Something I have been curious about for a while is whether or not Kratos is still the God of War or if not, what his godhood is aside from currently fatherhood and physical strength. Also before I forget how has Kratos kept his godly powers after both destroying Olympus and leaving Greece behind presumably forever.

I just realized that statue where Atreus read "throw your axe to the water" in the 2018 game is same statue that Thor and kratos were fighting on in Ragnarok. I mean, think about it, we see peak of the statue from very close distance in two games in so different circumstances, isn't it refreshing?

I know who that person is on the mirror on the realm of Yon Hime. Apparently that’s Odin, when in Ragnarok is tries to summon his soul inside of a marble and trap it, therefore eternity because I know for the fact that wasn’t Kratos it was someone else that was a prediction that almost had only a few hours And I know about it

Maybe kratos is mimirs monster, just like he was athenas monster once. Both are treating him the same way. Look at the conversations on the way to rescue tyr, he encourages him to war just like athena did until mimir got his revenge from odin and the beserkers who once mistreated him, just something to think about......

Same goes with thor,2018 had a whole dark atmosphere because the world map wasnt really lived by any creature but the ones who attacks you,in ragnarok we have a lot of friends,new people and the atmosphere is more normal then before. In every thor or odin s narration gow 2018 by mimir or the magic scripts in the walls we find out that every people of narration had been killed brutally by thor or manipulated by odin or lead by odin to a death trap. Even the first seconds of this video the atmosphere is more dark and creepy and mysterious trying to understand who is this tyr of the legends,and when we first walk in jothuneim we find out all giants are dead and their dead bodies creates mountains basically,and the scripts in the walls of jothuneim are desperate giants trying to save themselfs from thor s rampage. Its crazy how the tone of a game change this much when eric williams got the script even tho eric was there when god of war 2018 was in making and he softened the story a bit. Crazy

Cory shouldn’t have left the script to eric williams. Although ragnarok was a good sequel to gow 2018 that i enjoyed and i feel it added more charachters and more stuff to the god of war norse world it also missed… God of war 2018 was dark,mysterious,brutal,surviving in a hostile world where the only creatures who lives in attacks you,this whole atmosphere has been created by thor and Odin who brutally killed most of the hunan beings,manipulated them,used them and practiced slavery and abuse. Every mimir s narration,script in the walls,ghost souls side quests are about people being killed by thor or walking in a death trap if odin. The first time going in jothuneim was creepy as the statues looked sad,the scripts on the walls were desperate giants trying to survive and the dead giants created mountains with their dead bodies. We lost most of this dark environment but we had a good story in ragnarok,i m somewhat disappointed in how the mysteries didnt find answers and how thor and odin s characters were but i was completely disappointed for tyr i rather they didnt included it in the game as a post game useless character that was supposed to be legendary and powerful

Actually that was not tyr it’s Odin in disguise because he knew tyr would be useful alive and in the end game post there is an Easter egg or the hint of the upcoming sequel that the real tyr does a tai chi yoga and any kind of moves across Midgard , svartalheim , vanaheim , helheim and muspleheim

Story wise ragnarok was a let down for me. It was so rushed. And the end wasn’t satisfying. For me I was most excited for Thor and the big snake’s fight ( I do y know the spilling of its name so sorry) and what we got was just a loop.

Yall I think Angrboða is the one who blew the horn 🤔 it only make sense......she was living in Ironwood .. she told jormungandr to tell " loki " about ironwood thats why jormungandr said he look familiar....cuz he put the giants soul into the snake witch would become the jormungandr we saw fight in ragnarok cuz the other jormungandr got froze in the lake ....that's why at the end of ragnarok they said they still feel jormungandr presence in the lake after the battle .........now I might be wrong but it's the only thing that make sense......so I believe angrboda is the one who blew the horn ......cuz if she didn't how the hell was " loki " suppose to know about Ironwood...he wouldn't....so somebody from Ironwood had to tell jormungandr to tell him about Ironwood......it just make sense

Kaptain Kuba, you should be working at Santa Monica Studios, if you were I believe we would've gotten a much GOW Ragnarok, instead we got GOW Disney. Main complaints: 1. This is a very general one - Story is weak and rushed (especially the ending). 2. For some reason, the characters speak in a very modern American dialect, despite the game being in a medieval Norse setting...literally you here phrases like "no sh*t" being uttered which ruins the immersion. 3. Ragnarok is just one battle instead of being an entire war, it should've spanned at least 30 hours, instead it was like 40 min long. 4. We did not see enough of the Norse gods, it's like they did not even exist, could've easily made for more epic boss fights, so that was a major missed opportunity. 5. "Who blew the horn"? - well the Norse saga is over so...does that even matter anymore? 6. The Odin fight was kinda lame, I saw a comment that I really agreed with which says "the fact that the Baldur fight was more epic than the Odin fight is the most disappointing thing in GOW Ragnarok", damn, hard to argue with that. 7. Thor was kinda disappointing, I was expecting a murderous psycho, and instead we got a bad dad with alcohol issues, the way in which they tried to humanize him felt forced and took away from what makes God of War well God of War. The game was too short to build a proper character arc to Thor. I have a few more complaints, but that's enough for now.

My vrother in christ i love your videos and ideas buy i don't think i'll watch your theories regarding the next gow... I don't think a single theoty of yours (story wise, not boss fights) have been correct, and almost always the way it happens is way less exciting on comparasion to the theory. I truly belived that me waiting for crazy things to happen in the campaign made me love it less. And i think you give too much importance to things corey balrog say, i don't think he remembers half the cryptic tweets he wrote during the norse saga.

The worst part (of many) in Ragnarok was Thor himself. Painted and hyped up to be the most sadistic villain and craziest epic boss fight of all time. And the whole game he’s got this whiny human side and has a drinking problem?? Killed in 2 seconds by a little spear stab from Odin? lmfao still can’t believe how badly they dropped the ball with most of this game

Thor doesn’t whine much lmao and he’s still a badass and his boss fights were peak

@@jesseheysuch-ln4rq His boss fights were mid af. It’s all subjective, but nah the way they hyped it up it was so average. First one was solid, but not an instant classic or as damaging as that first Baldur fight. And the second one, lol just dodging basic thunder attacks in front of a wooden lodge. Not anything epic like on a dragon or on the world serpent or anything classic GOW scale. Idk

@@kingdom5854 How was he not as classic? He literally killed kratos and brought him back to life, flew all over midgard and created craters and destroyed tyrs statue, etc baldur 1 was not as cool and baldur 2 was just parry and dodge lol thor 2 has a lot of moves and even if you fight him at a palace, he literally goes super sayian mode and lighting and thunder are everywhere making the fight feeling godly and you throw him up the house and clash dbz style how is that not GoW spectacle?!?! Also baldurs 1 destruction literally went away whereas thor 1s literally effected all of midgard level design
