On Sept 8, 2021 my beautiful Mom went home to Jesus. On Sept 5, she was particularly restless and uncomfortable, so I looked for some piano music to help soothe her and found this. Mom played piano for our church's worship ministry when I was young and I remember so well her playing these songs--in church as well as at home. That night in September, I played these for her as I crawled in to bed with her. Within minutes, she was resting comfortably in my arms and was able to go to sleep. As hard as it is to think about, I will always cherish the memory of holding my precious Mom until she settled--just the way she held me in her arms, no matter how old I was, until I was comforted. Thank you for this compilation, it means more than anyone knows.

I am 15, I grew up knowing the Lord. I started to drift from His presence but now I realize more than ever that He has always been there for me when i needed Him, and He always will be. He's there for you too.

Hymns do what modern praise songs cannot. They resonate across generations as if we sing with the collective voices of the cloud of witnesses the same songs that moved great great great grandma. I can almost hear their voices too. So lovely is this music and dripping with such great depth and theology. Not noise. Just worship. Thank you Kaleb. Keep up the great work.

I am 68 years old, but my life is slowly ending. I am learning to play the piano, and I vowed to the Lord when I became proficient enough, to visit old folks centers and play hymns on their piano or my portable digital keyboard what years I have left. My mind and body are still sharp; I know I can do it. This is another main goal on my bucket list. I only regret I did not begin learning the piano years sooner. I'm a Hospice volunteer and I just played this for my patient who is dying. These beautiful songs have always made me cry and remind me of growing up in church and my mother who loved them.

My grandma went home to be with Jesus last night at the age of 95. She was a very strong woman of faith. She was a pastor's wife for most of her life and raised a family of seven children. No family is perfect and her's wasn't either...they experienced grief and lose and challenges but she gave so much to her family and to God in her lifetime. These songs remind me of her singing and playing piano - she loved music so much!! Because of her we always sang our prayers at family gatherings. Praying her legacy will continue to be celebrated and remembered by the generations to come and that our faith may also be as strong. Jesus may we be strong enough to carry on the faith of those who went before!

I am 34 and sitting at the firehouse listening to these beautiful timeless Hymns that cause me to reflect upon the Lord's work in my life and the lives of my family members. I initially put this on in my headphones to better focus on an exam I was taking and quickly found myself taken aback by the simplicity and beauty of the flood of childhood memories of our church and of my grandparents and of simpler times in a word that didn't seem so cruel and full of hate. After to listening to these Hymns several times with tears in my eyes I then found my way to the comments which I found as equally uplifting and heart-filling, hearing everyone's stories, memories and struggles. 2020 definitely is not an easy year and we still don't know what is ahead of us. There are many moments i feel lost and cobfused. But i decide to set my eyes upon Our Lord Jesus Christ no matter what. May our faith in Jesus and love for our God grow despite the difficulties. When we are weak, He gives us strength.

These songs take me back to my childhood days, when church music really meant something and didn’t sound loud, like a concert. Love the reverent music to collect your thoughts and give thanks to God, our creator for all the wonderful things he supplies us with daily. It gives me peace of mind and hope every morning and night before I go to bed. Thank you for your beautiful music. It falls tenderly on our ears, especially during this difficult time, as we need to know God is with us and He has a purpose behind what is happening in our world. I am 81 + and I had a wonderful marriage with my husband as we grew to love each other dearly.. For about 6 months his health was failing and he wanted me to be by him. He passed away peacefully on the 6th of January 2019 with the family by him. In the background hymns were played. So much so that we did not realize that he had passed away.peace peacefully. Praise the Lord. However I miss him so.

In my teen's I was part of a church quartet. I am now 74 yrs old and can still harmonize with the music and still feel deep within myself the beauty of the music and the words.

Im here with my Mom. She's in decline has about a couple days or so before she passes. She loves hearing hymns. Unfortunately there is a lot of baggage from past abuse that has been unresolved. And being that Im the youngest im the only one here. Im grateful but it's not easy. Thank God I go to an awesome church with lots of supportive friends. And gives me piece being able to be here with my Mom and being reminded of God's love and mercy and healing.

The Lord has called me to return to Him and I can no longer abide the songs of the world. I find great peace and joy in hearing the old gospel songs of my youth. Blessed be our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and until he returns, I keep Him near through His Word and the songs that praise His glorious name. Ye who are weary, come home!

Kaleb, these songs are such a blessing to our family. As a military family, my little ones go through so many changes but this medley is with them wherever we go to calm them and drift them off to sleep. It is perfect for bedtime or even during difficult days when they are missing their daddy. Thank you so much for this simple, yet beautiful, collection of wonderful life-giving hymns!

Used to play double kick drums for death metal band when I was younger, the change was so drastic that I wasn’t allowed to touch music gear for at least a year till the work of God was complete enough to make me never go back, now this is my favorite kind of music. I'm really upset right now, to the point of tears. 2019 has not been a good year. I lost my mom in January of this year and live in a nursing home with a roommate who doesn't like me listening to hymns all day. Hymns help me connect back to the source of creation, I’m a musician my self, but I always wanted to play the piano so that I can bless the artist aura and to make them understand that you have to put god first. I have always loved the way I was brought up, where we sing old fashion hymns to piano, during song services at church. And though I play piano a little myself, there is something about hearing it played skillfully, that calms the spirit, And helps me rest in the Lord. Thank you for keeping the old hymns alive! It's sad to see how my generation is falling away from these amazing hymns, and songs like "there is power in the Blood" is foreign to them. Though it's uncommon for my age group to want the old paths, I still do!

This is so peaceful and relaxing. Brings me back to my childhood of living with my grandparents who were God fearing people.
