To be fair, that death when talking to yellow toad isn't because of the toad itself, it actually happened because being out of bounds under the map like that will instantly kill mario if he's touching the floor too long, and unfortunately talking to the toad stops you in place for longer than the second it would take to kill Mario from the glitch.

Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask: Done in about a year, pretty much as a dare from one dev to the other. Mario Sunshine: One of the best Mario titles, actively mentioned to be heavily rushed with a lot of cut content. Mario 64: Literally one of the most influencial titles, and one of the best games, of all time. Developed by Japanese developers on American hardware using English instructions that they didn't understand very well. It's telling that some of the best games ever made STILL had a ton of issues, but somehow still managed to work extremely well. Kinda telling when games are made with good reasons and not just "how can we milk everyone playing it?"

I remember playing through Super Smash Bros. for the first time. The next game I wanted to try beating 100% was Mario Party. I played for maybe 3 hours before realizing the dice HAD to be rigged. I don't think I've ever really given a Mario Party title a fair chance since then. Needless to say, I'm happy to get a little confirmation after 20+ years

It's pretty awesome, it's a kids cartoon but it rocks, as do the other 2 Mario cartoons from the 90s.

For Mario Kart, I always thought 64's Block Fort was the best battle course. I never liked later revisions of the map.

That Mario Kart Double Dash footage is terrible in terms of displayed skill and I feel ashamed of myself that I can't do better than what's shown. I have no idea how I got so bad at that game despite having played it so much during my youth. I was even good at it back then....
