The irony of that 2nd king match. The moment mainman tries normal-ish tekken with victor, he gets 3-0'd. goes to show that sometimes going full circus is better than fundamentals against beginner-low intermediates😂😂
I'm french. He says " Jaillit " which translate to erupt. Just sharing an Anti-Victor strat : for the 22222 string (or any glock involved string) . On block, you can interrupt every option out of stance with a jab save for the powercrush but you'll still have time to block if you just do a single jab.
I actually appreciate the fact my brother picked up Victor. My brother is a VERY strong fighting game player, and he doesn't mash. He's good at pokes, frame traps, conditioning, and not falling for attempts to condition him. His Victor is scary because he doesn't just spam safe strings. This means I play my brother, get my shit pushed in hard, then go into ranked and basically moon walk all over everyone because it's like going from ultra hard mode to easy mode.
It’s weird how much I see Lars considered a beginner character. IMO Victor is THE beginner character. He was the first character I tried when the game launched, and it’s one of the easiest times I’ve had playing a character in Tekken.
I would say lars if you know how to use his 2 down forward holding forward to keep his low attacks coming and when people start to block low than go for mid into heat rush into 3+4 dash to a 50/50
Because he is fairly easy (for a stance character at least), but also teaches you a lot about the game. With Victor you probably only learn how to steamroll people with his very easy and strong tools, but as soon as people start to counter you, you have no defense to rely on. With Lars, even though he is easier and stronger in this game than in t7, you still mostly rely on good reads and baits for your damage, and his punishment tools are quite strong, which rewards actual good defense I might be a bit biased as someone playing Lars as a 2nd main, but that's how i see it at least
Lars is a beginner character, he was literally designed to be stupid braindead easy and give you wins on a silver platter for minimal effort, miss us with that scrub cope
@@punishedwhispers1218 see it’s funny, I switched to Reina. And I’m having much more fun with her than Lars, and she’s another stance character. And somehow feels easier than Lars, I don’t really understand it. Maybe I just have some kind of mental block
This character is carrying people to orange ranks. I got cheesed by a Destroyer rank Victor today because I didn’t know what he was doing. I labbed him today and was mind blown that the combos used only ONE BUTTON 😂😂😂.
Did you also notice that the 1 button spam is easy neutralized by just stand blocking? Yeah he is easy to play as a beginner, but its also easy to counter if you just stand still and punish. The only lows he has you are slow, you should be able to deal with them.
You sound like you just suck. Just learn the matchup and punish. A good victor will never use his 2 string. I would know, im purple with victor and almost purple with reina.
Speaking of cheese, that reminds me of the general thoughts on Tekken 7 characters video, TheMainManSWE: “God of cheese, absolute god of cheese (Lei)” I’ll miss hearing it 😂
I really like the commentary style from tmm, I’m new to all this tekken „universe“😂 thanks to mk1 f it up and I gotta say , I’m glad they did it otherwise I wouldn’t have discovered this lovely game and this extremely handsome man ;) 😂😂
I just played a Victor for the first time today and as soon as I learned I could counter hit the 2 string the guy I was playing immediately left the match 😂
If you want a combo that at least demands an execution from victor, this is at least one ff2 > df3,4 > db1,1f > 2,2,1 > ff2 > ender, this one is intermediate because you have to deep dash into the ff2 to get the bound. Or Standard combo > bound > qcf2 > Iai 1,2,2
@@renelopez3547 Lol, only a noob spams 2222 over and over that since that string is duckable because of the pause before the gunshot. And that df2 222 combo is smol pp in dmg and swag.
Yeah that string and throw trap brings you alone to red ranks in tekken 7 some years ago. Now it repeats with a new fresh pool of beginners in the game.
Anyone else start shouting at the screen and punching holes in the wall when TMM kept declining matches instead of turning off matchmaking at the start?
for the love of god main man pls turn off matchmaking while you're just explaining stuff instead of denying every match and interrupting the gameplay as well as wasting the other person's time
The thing about low rank is if you play normally you will eat 50/50 between them blocking or throwing out rage art. Low rank is basically block until they kill themselves by doing random rage art
As a king main. I'm proud of the King player 😂. Granted he isn't great. But what heart!! And the irish whip into the wall, followed by jaguar dash was tight.
I don't know how you think Victor is easy. He's actually difficult to play. Maybe as soon as the the game first came out, but people know how to fight him now. You need to have skill to go far wit this character. He has a lot of weaknesses.
You should make a video on your opinions about each rank skill level game style how you should fight I would really appreciate that love watching your videos bro stay positive 👌🏾
Thsts the problem with ranked at the min you've got pro/really good players doing shit like this in low ranked making newer/not so good players feel like shit.
I mean people playing Victor a lot in Japan is one thing. But when they play him in EU it's such a braindead spamfest, completely shameless. These people will be stuck in mid ranks forever and like a tick drain the joy out if everyone who is trying to enjoy ranked with fundamental play
LMAO my Series X is literally right next to my modem on the same desk and I still have it on WIFI 😂😂 Told my self after I setup my Xbox I would go to my closet and get an ethernet cable....let just say it's been a while.
Hey can someone help me. I havnt had time to really dig my teeth into the game. But i been playing tekken for over 20 years. When i play against a auska that spams perry i always buffer the chicken..i tried to chicken her yesterday and it wouldn't work..did they chanage the input or you cant buffer it? What is going on?
I'm pretty sure chicken is gone. But throws are now unbreakable if the opponent is doing a reversal, so just use throws or knees/elbows/headbutts i guess
@@naiiin6949dang I think your right, now I'm thinking about it. They wanted everyone to be able to get around it..back in the day we had to buffer the chicken in. Too complicated for new players
What’s a strong rank to have in tekken. I’m so close to keep getting to garyu but keep getting pushed back but I have beaten players at that rank as you get paired up with ranks at least to ranks higher a lot. What’s considered a strong tekken rank ?
😂🤣😂 WTF… Victors combos and timing are easy he is far less complex then Lars the stance branches and wall carry take way more thought and practice I’ve played Lars since his release in T6, in T8 he has more options from his stances along with the new heat mechanic I’m still learning him Victor is cool and love playing him but I learned him in 2 days his gameplay is easy mode and unfortunately he has limited potential because of it
I feel like MainMan is bit biased against Victor. Yes hes easy, but braindead? Idk about that. You definitely cant spam with him. Hes a monster against beginner to intermediate players, but high level? Nah. You gotta work with him. And high level players make Victor look sick af. For example Max Dood plays Victor secondary and he can pull of some sick shit with him.
I actually just started playing the series in t8: and love asuka. Would love to know what can be done to not be a “stereotypical” player of the character.
Just don't mash b3 and parry all the time and you're fine. Learn movement and sidestep, whiff punish with f2. Don't worry about it too much, you'll feel it in your soul if you start cheesing 😂 but there's nothing you can do to make her not annoying to fight, she has built in evasion on almost all of her moves and one of the strongest power crushes in 7 (don't know about 8 but it's probably still great). If you don't use her advantages you'll never win, and her advantages happen to be kind of luck-based low risk medium reward stuff which people don't like. She is a cool character, my friend mains her and I love to fight her. Most of the time... No character is safe from the trash talk so just revel in it
Hmm, I have only seen Western players complain about her because they are generally mashers. Asian players consistently put her in low tier and don't have much trouble against her(personally atleast I don't). Lmao. Anyways don't worry play how you like. With that said she needs good reads to be good. If player knows the matchup.
@@ragnarok7452 western players put her in low tier too. I don't think it has to do with area, just skill level. Asians are not more or less prone to mashing than westerners 🤨 most beginners mash and yeah she most definitely obliterates mashers. Like if one masher plays another and one masher is an asuka, the asuka will almost certainly win
@@tongpoo8985 Did they also put her in low tier during T7? Most lists I have seen in Western Region put her at mid tier. But Book and Knee put her at low tier. Anyways most people play patiently in Asia, turtles are Asuka's weakness. Also, I am talking about ranks where most players are(when people call certain characters scrubby or something). Not beginner level nor too high level. Let me just put it this way. Her game plan is not good at countering Asian meta. But good at countering Western meta. Doesn't necessarily mean one region is better than other, just that different characters are good for countering meta in a region. Kinda like elemental system in Avatar.
Is it really THAT hard to slam jab after he shoots the gun? lol I dunno, this whole video comes across unbelievably salty. Do the bare minimum to learn the character, like every single other character in the roster, and you can counter play.
It's ok man. It's just normal competive game behaviour, some are toxic others are just fucking around, i'm a victor main too and that's the normal standar of anybody now playing the game, calling us bad because the character is easy to play and he do almost everthing for us, forgetting that he doesn't need to be doing the most do be effective while others characters have to do the most to do half of the shit that you're doing just by pressing bottons or one botton. Shit, people complain just because you're doing your thing, so you might as well shrug and enjoy the banter and your main.
@@steveholt5115sure, but starting at Brawler rank is way too low . He should start at yellow at minimum, even though that’s insanely easy as well. Not a single matchup pushed TMM to really explore the character. Kind of a waste. If you were entertained, awesome, I guess.
@@jimdino77 i see your point but losing out on content that people clearly enjoy just so he doesnt offend people who cant handle an asswhoopin in a fighting game (which is part of the culture) just doesnt make logical sense
Victor is the only character i legit CANNOT raw outskill. Im going to have to lab him in depth. Hes more frustrating to fight than all of my least favorite characters to face, combined (Auska, Leroy, Jun, even Yoshi)
darling cherie --> joke so , so fu**^* stupid is extremely good. nonon sacreblue ----- (im not gonna spoil the joke) --> ao fuck*^^^^ stupid that is actually good wihtou passing the ironic "so bad" phase. main man keep your stupid jokes and voices. fuck if i have i good time man, you put a laugh in my face. thanks!!!!
