Good day again, everybody! This is the video I've been excited to share. I've been growing this watermelon for a few months now, and it's the only one that managed to grow in the spot I had specifically for watermelons. Unfortunately, the other ones that were trying to grow on the vine didn't survive, but I’m staying positive and making the most of the one I have. It looks pretty well-developed, so let's open it up and see what's inside.
Watermelon Update and Tasting:
Watermelon Background:
I've been growing this watermelon for a few months, and it’s the only one that survived on the vine.
Although the other watermelons didn't make it, I'm happy with this one and excited to see how it turned out.
Opening the Watermelon:
While washing the watermelon, I noticed a rotten spot, likely from sitting in the garden for too long. I’ll remove that part before cutting into it.
After cutting it open, the colour inside is not as pink as I expected, but I’m hopeful that it’s sweet. Last year’s watermelon was pale too, but it tasted amazing.
Tasting the Watermelon:
The flavour is not as sweet as I expected, but it's still good and definitely edible.
It's juicy, though the flavour could be better. Despite that, I’m going to enjoy it.
Conclusion:
Next year is another opportunity to grow more vegetables and improve the methods I use in the garden, including better soil preparation. Thank you for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video!
