@@karmen8873 Çok üzgünüm ama hiç sanmıyorum. Grubun pek çok parçasını besteledikleri keyboard bile satılığa çıkmış. Maddi sıkıntılar yaşıyormuş grup üyeleri. Ama keşke dediğiniz gibi olsa da yeni bir Flying ya da Lost Control bağışlasalar bize.
@@cemalak Benim anlamadığım, daha yeni en iyi progresif albüm seçildiler. Yani hala başarılı ve tutan işler çıkarıyorlar. Her ne kadar çok çok büyük bir grup olmasalar bile (örneğin opeth gibi) onlara çok bağlı fanları da var: Her grupta olduğu gibi. Kaldı ki onlardan çok da az bilinen gruplar (yine progresif olarak örnek vereyim; mystery grubu) hala ayakta ve konserlerine devam ediyorlar. Bu tarz "underground" gruplar bile konserlerine devam edecek kadar kazanıyorsa, Anathema gibi bir grup nasıl oluyor da ekonomik sıkıntıların kurbanı oluyor? Olay sadece ekonomik değil bence. Belki de yoruldular artık. Hayatlarının çoğunda melankolik takıldılar. Hayat şartları, onları bu tarz duygular hissetmeye zorladı. Belki de artık daha sakin bir yaşam sürmek istiyorlar. Tabi ki mutlu olmaları onların da hakkı. Hak ediyorlar. Ama bencil bir şekilde hala onların konserlerine gitmek, hatta aynı Vincent gibi konserlerde ağlamak istiyorum. Bana hissettirdiği, bize hissettirdiği duygular bambaşka. Grup dağılınca da, sanki bütün o duygular geçmiştr kalmış, kaybolmuş gibi hissediyor insan.

Öte yandan, progressive grupların büyük çoğunluğu sınırlı bir kitleye hitap eder. Albüm satışları hele ki Spotify çağında para getirmez. En büyük para kaynağı konserlerdir ama 2020 yılı ve Covid konserlere çok büyük darbe vurunca bu son kaçınılmaz oldu. Keşke son bir gaza gelip tura çıksalar, yeminle sadece kendim için değil eş dost için bile bilet alırım. :(

Adam resmen yaşıyordu. Parlayan yıldızdı. Ortam çok kötüydü gerçi saçma sapan sarhoş insanlar, sırf "konser" olduğu icin gelenler vs. Ama ben büyülenmiştim Anathema'dan. Bir daha bu hisleri yaşayamayacak olmak çok koyuyor. Farkındayım sürekli aynı sözleri söyledim ve hep dönüp dolaşıp aynı yere geliyorum ama ilk yorumda da dediğim gibi kabullenemiyorum. :,)

For me, music is more about feelings than techniques. Techniques on instruments are very important, but for me, the feelings are something TOTALLY indispensable. This is one of the most beautiful examples of the impact that the real feeling behind a song can do. This is one of my favourite songs of all time... cause the meaning behind it... is real.
I've been a big-big fan of Anathema for too many years, and they have been my top favourite band ever since. I saw them live in Athens 2 weeks ago. They were absolutely wonderful. There is no way to describe the intense emotions and the beauty when you see such a superb audience rewarding and honoring in such manner the artists who have kept us company with their breathtaking music and lyrics, countless hours... for years. The user below said it best in Portuguese: "If someone asked me what Anathema is, I would just show them this video... and I would say: THIS is Anathema." Thank you SO much (Obrigado!) for this incredible video... a most powerful testament of true, exquisite art, and true emotions. Thank you Anathema for existing in our lives. This song was composed by Danny Cavanagh (Vincent's brother) in memory of their mother, Helen Cavanagh who passed away (committed suicide) in 1998. This is the reason that made Vincent cry. Also I suggest you guys to listen the next song in the albume, 'Parisienne Moonlight' as a response by the mother (composed by Vincent C.).
Having lost my mother too at a young age, seeing Vince's reaction on 3:03 in context with the song and the crowd in this case, definitely pushes the right buttons.
Watching this always reminds me of some old days. Such a strange song. I don't know why this band has so much emotion; I love it. Maybe 10 years even 20 years later, I still listen to this song and it will remind me of my comment...

This song means the world to me. I had been looking forward to seeing the band again and finally hearing this masterpiece last year...days before the Budapest gig Hungary went into lockdown and I seem to have missed this huge chance and reading their message on a probable breakup tore my heart apart. But knowing the fact Portuguese fans managed to get their final chance somehow gives some fairness to this sad turn of events. I'm happy for you, guys, and you really deserved this based on this beautiful video that I regularly watch. Aprecie todas as boas lembranças!

I was crying all the time, and Vincent Cavanagh almost brokes in tears too... that was so tenderness and so emotional that the simple fact of remember it makes me cry again.
