He'll still have a target rich environment, even if it's slightly less wealthy. Politics is inherently ridiculous and Starmer's Labour is playing the game even harder than Rishi did.
@@stuartgregory7130 given how labor is simply the firmer of the two wet tissues and hasn't been used to wipe someones ass like the tories, i think he will have plenty of stones to throw.
And maybe any other MP of any other given political party who didn't call for an immediate ceasefire and to demand Israel stop the mass slaughter of thousands of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children ? Bit too much to ask ? Thought so. Never mind. Maybe next four years then eh ?
She has a good point about bright children being forced into state schools. My support worker has a son who's a literal genius. He said he was able to recite the plank formula from age 4. He has aspergers so its hardly surprising. My support worker says how the Labour proposal to raise VAT on private school will make life even harder for him. We need to accept that private schools aren't only for rich families. Not like the Tories care though. They're only using this argument because they know sensible people on the left would agree.
A fictional Tory facing a fictional reporter and it just looks like an ordinary News broadcast. Except that the fictional reporter actually pushed back against the fictional Tory's not-even-satire-anymore lies.
At first I thought it was legit until I heard “take them out of private school and make them feral”. My first thought.. wow, this is an honest Tory but not the sharpest tool in the shed for saying it out loud. Put this on Fox and every American will think it’s real. It’s certainly borderline reality in the States.
All he has to do is put a slight twist and exaggeration onto evidentual fact; it's called satire, I'm told it's something of a British tradition. If he's not careful, he and other satirists will find themselves drowned in the Tsunami of unsatirisable, nasty cretinous bollocks of "real life" politics we've allowed to be normalised over the last 14 effing years. 😔
Except neither Bogart nor Bergman were demonstrable monsters. Quite the opposite, in fact, that sorta being the point. I get it's a joke, but if you're deeply attracted to someone who wants to dehumanize people you claim to care about, you're not "romantic"; you're pathological and narcissistic.
The thing about politics in britain and america in the last 10 years is that you can't parody it, because it's parody already, and Rosie Holt is a brilliant example - she really really really does seem so much like a Tory MP that I'm pretty sure if she was standing as a candidate there would be enough brue-rinsers and golf club members who are still grasping their brexit lottery tickets and holding out for their three unicorns and a sack of lollipops, that they'd vote her in.
your insults and empty dialogue says everything i need to know about you . Tories may well be evil self serving cretins , but if you think Starmer is going to do any better you have a shock coming . The plan comes from far higher than poxy party politics
Its funny when the Tories claim that Labour have no plan. They said it with Corbyn and they say it now, but read the manifestos and find out who is fully costed and who isn't.
Fully costed today... fully unaffordable tomorrow... Anybody voting Labour has No excuse when they find out they've been lied to... Kier Starmer told a pack of lies (including "I am Not a Zionist") to dupe the Labour membership to vote him party leader... ... now... he's telling Another pack of lies to the UK electorate, to make him PM...
Tories didn't keep a single promise but Labour have talked with Martin Lewis over a change he has been campaigning for (he wouldn't reveal which one). Labour said they want to do it but won't put it in their manifesto in case they can't keep it. They do plan to achieve it though. That shows integrity to me.
I had never heard of Rosie Holt before today, so you had me absolutely convinced she was a real Tory right up to the parting scene. Simply brilliant! XD
Im not sure which is funnier. Pie saying goodbye to the ruling party which his ranting of made him famous... or the fact that he's been in a secret relationship with a Tory 😂
Well, it's 01:13 and the exit poll has shown that the Conservatives have been routed! Oh happy, blessed day! Sorry to Rosie Holt MP though, I can see Pie is devastated there.
Brilliant 😂. Even in the slightly sentimental end game, Pye manages to point out the hypocrisy of the Tory claim that Labour don't have a plan, while reeling off a long list of things that Labour are apparently threatening to do!! We will miss Rosie too. The kind face of the fascist end of politics. I hope she returns in a new party?
For the last five years the Tories haven't been able to work out whether to paint Keir is a dangerous lefty or a dullard weathervane. It really wouldn't have mattered what they picked, having at least some message consistency might have caused Labour some trouble. Yet another example of their abysmal campaigning.
@@JoshWiniberg To be fair, the have managed to square that circle by painting him as both, often within the same interview, sometimes the same sentance.
@@JoshWiniberg Amen to that. CCHQ has demonstrated the message discipline & message consistency of a 5 year old!! The whole thing looks like a bad episode of The Apprentice! In part, this makes me very happy, but also equally appalls me, to see our once great political system so reduced.
@@josephpotter5766They do, but each undermines the other. They needed a razer sharp attack line if they wanted to have any hope of winning this, and they couldn't decide which way to go.
@@philthrelfall5294 absolutely. I've never seen a worse political operation. Lynton Crosby seriously cheapened political debate in this country with his hideous three-word slogans (strong economic plan) but at least they worked for the Tories. Sunak's operation doesn't even have that going for it. I couldn't even guess what his campaign slogan is, and I follow this stuff closely.
i can't stand any politician who runs their campaign on slagging off their opposition, instead of talking about what they can offer. aside from being underhanded, it also suggests that they don't have anything good of their own to offer. don't tell me why the opposition is bad; tell me why you're good.
@@banterbanter i knew i was going to get a comment like this 🙄 people on youtube just have to "um, actually". i know it's satire, i'm just remarking that she does a real thing politicians do that i hate, so honestly it's really good satire as it's so accurate.
Thank you Tom for doing what you do. Apart from being bloody funny and distracting me from work, the content genuinely makes me think about politics, and how we talk to others who we don’t agree with👍
Slightly suprised she's not defected to Labour. It would be the kind of principled decision she would make. Just like Labour's principled decision to allow those defections to take place.
As a typical Tory would do (just like narcissists), overload you with *their* facts and don't give you an opportunity to address each of their lies and falsehoods. Well observed!
Brilliant, simply brilliant. I'm worried for Pie now thought - what will he talk about once these tories are gone? Or should I keep faith in BoJo, Badepoch, Rish!, Cruella, Garbage and all the rest to do their best to try and fuck things up?
At this point, it's pretty clear that we'll be talking about Reform, which means, if anything, an even greater descent into madness. I for one look forward to gazing into the pitiless void for the next few years.
Ha ha ..followed Rosie Holt since she made a great satire about black lives matter in 2020 comedy writer and actor taking a satirical look at life and politics where at first many people didn't realise and thought she was a real MP ..and were astonished at how she could get away with so many detrimental quirps and quips I'm glad Tom Walker teamed up with her for this ...they made a great team .
I was just thinking the other day what a natural fit a crossover between these two would be! Glad to see it actually come together, great work both of you.
