Max did such a terrible job raising Al. If Gabrielle had been out of prison to see what he had become under Blair's influence, she would have scratched Blair's eyes out.

I liked this more than I thought I would. I'm not really fond of Max/Luna/Blair, or the gambling story, but that scene with Luna and Blair is much different from what I would've expected. They both show a lot of toughness and vulnerability and Susan and Kassie both get strong moments. The part where Blair talks about how she had to scrape by when she was growing up, and the scene where Luna reacts to Blair trying to hit her. Really good stuff.
@@CShannon1991: True, she was and yes, Blair should have kept away from the sleazy Max, who was using both of them. Luna should have just left Max right then, not screamed and created a huge scene. Luna only ended up embarrassing herself. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And Max carried on his affair while Blair laughed in Luna's face. None of the _three_ of them were innocent of wrongdoing. All three of them were silly and immature, which was hilarious.
Go, Luna! "I am going to tell you how it really is!" And then I love her grabbing Blair's hand as she tried to hit her and wrestles her hand down and then slugs her! LOL Luna was tough! And wasn't Luna from N.C.? You don't mess with us North Carolinians! LOL I miss her and her New Age goddess style and wackiness and down home charm. It was a sad day when she died.
@@Coryraisa yea even jdp said max & luna became so annoyingly self righteous. I think her & max were all wrong. He was a rhett butler type who loved his bad girls. I remember he didnt give gabrielle a second look even with a son but once she became a bad girl max was hooked & dumped megan. Luna was melanie from gwtw. Micheal malone wrote and stole a lot from that book & film right down to blair/scarlett at melanie's death bed( luna ) & asking forgiveness & crying. Todd & blair were so original bc todd was not Rhett but more heathcliff from wuthering heights. So malone an English professor at duke & writer of novels loved those old romantic timeless novels & old movies. He inc a lot of that. So he created scarlett with heathcliff ! Cord was def Ashley wilkes . So cord & luna actually would have been perfect but prob boring as a front burner couple. Perfect in real life. I did appreciate luna when she was counseling Marty & I admit at times I found her hone spun earthiness comforting as a kid. When she got with max uch.
@@natalieps2387: Luna never struck me as "homespun" or Earthy, she struck me as phony and ditzy. Jason, Lee Ann and Carlotta were more homespun and down-to-Earth out of all the OLTL characters.
Luna: You left HIM. You married another man Blair: We were working it out! haha, I was such a Max and Luna shipper...mainly because I had a crush on James DePavia. I always felt scandalized every time Luna referred to God as a female but I loved her all the same. Now that I look at old clips of this show on You Tube with adult eyes I can see that Max and Luna were hopelessly mismatched and the way the show had him going back to Blair (hated her!!) was more realistic than not. Still hated hearing how they eventually killed off Luna. When Kassie was recasted as Blair (replacing the Asian actress) and the character sort of took over the show and became involved in a love story with a gang rapist, I drifted away from the show. So enjoyed seeing Luna give Blair a good sock in the eye here...it was a long time coming.
Wouldn't that be _wild_ and wonderful if Luna and Cord did have an affair! And since both of them are adept at the saint act and hiding their wrongdoings while loudly pointing out others' wrongs, I wouldn't put it past them to have had a secret affair.
@@CoryraisaMalone worshipped gone w/ the wind. He saw Luna as Melanie cord as Ashley Blair as Scarlett & max as Rhett. It could have worked if he paired cord & luna. Instead he put Luna back w/ max. U never pair Rhett & Melanie. That's why Todd & blair worked so well Malone stumbled on Scarlett & Heathcliff from wuthering heights. Such a fresh amazing combo. Also throwing cord & Blair together during that as some spoiler huge mistake as Blair as Scarlett u never pair w/ Ashley. Max & luna were imo a mistake b/c u never pair Melanie & Rhett. Jdp worked best w/ dramatic women. Megan tina & Gabrielle. When megan became so sweet it was curtains. Loved her & Jake. Blair & max just didn't have the chemistry. Honestly the all time pairings were Blair & todd b4 the baby lie max & gabs Jake & megan luna going back to NC when she had the twins . Cord & Tina had sweltering chemistry esp when Andrea player her. Anyway ironic that Tina's baby brother wound up w/ Blair. Also later how todd & gabs hooked up as paternity in crime what a lost opportunity
GO LUNA!!! Blair seriously needed to be punched! Ashame it didn't knock any sense into her. Personally, I prefer Blair when she's single, mainly because when she's with someone like Todd or Max, she gets too desperate and loses her dignity. Also, Max and Cord have sexual tension. Just saying.

Luna didn't tell Blair anything of any value...Blair was too thickheaded anyway. Luna just screeched and yowled like a rabid cat between slapping Blair. I can imagine Max and Blair laughing about Luna's screeching later on once they got back in bed. This would be before Max and Blair cheated on each other and had their own little silly drama and before Dorian found out and kicked Blair's arse. This is great comedy and spoof fodder.
Luna was no joke. The scenes where she caught Max and Blair in a hotel in AC together were amazing. I think i stopped watching the show a little after this time
@CarlD2 For real. I'm a huge Cord/Tina and Max/Gabrielle fan (not saying Luna should be discounted, just acknowledged equally with Gabby as Max true loves, as opposed to playing favorites), but Cord/Max? Now THERE'S a couple I could support wholeheartedly! ;)
Omg it looked like max & cord were gonna kiss lol. Max became a shell of the guy he was when he came to Town in the 80s. A larger than life adventurer with big dreams. He & gabrielle were such a hot couple. They literally were like Rhett butler & scarlett o'hara. Man luna is strong that was some punch. Damn. She had great defense to she caught blairs hand then punched her almost out.
@ThorneAstor Oh and you're not kidding about the sexual tension! Wow. That scene where their faces are thisclose, and Cord in that flimsy top (which doesn't really seem like him, but then he did wear a Speedo, so...).
I always thought the triangle of max megan & gabrielle is the best I've ever seen. Bc both women were equally matched in different ways & u can see how max could be torn. Gabrielle had the history & child with max & was such an exotic beauty with the accent & megan the beautiful funny loyal actress. Max never gave gabby the time of day bc she was a very innocent good girl. Once she was a really bad girl on the way to redemption max became obsessed leaving megan confused bc she always witnessed max & gabrielle hating eachothers guts. Max & Megan's break up was done so beautifully sad & with no real anger. Megan even told max u want gabrielle stop fighting it. Classy woman megan was even though she was in pain. As those scenes were going on gabrielle went to a church explaining her & Max's history & begging God to help her get max out of her heart. It was also sad bc who doesnt know that feeling of unrequited love where u hate urself for obsessing over a man but u cant stop it no matter how much u want to. Just a beautiful job. It's on yt I believe. It ends with max going down to an empty ball room thinking with the sax player playing the oltl theme & intercuttimh to megan crying on her sofa & gabby crying alone in church. Best triangle ever
@ThorneAstor There's no such thing as a single woman on OLTL these days. Even if they're alone they're pining. I think Blair works best away from the zombie that is Todd...I was never fond of her with Max either. Unfortunately she will never have a relationship of her own.
How dare that hick punch Blair in her pretty moneymaker! I always feel bad for the Blair's and Tina's... it's not THEIR fault the guys want them more! LOL!! Ha ha!
